Go get him. Tons of upside, and much cheaper than fat albert
i think there's reason for pause when his existing team doesn't want to pay $6 mil per and $5 mil guaranteed to a starting 28 year old left tackle coming off a no sack season...definitely something a miss there
I think money tied to the cap and having in house replacement (Andrew Whitworth) allows them some leeway. However you are right to be skeptical. I thought he looked good coming out of KSU but really has not played solid snaps until this year due to injury. He's played both tackle spots and before this year he was an ideal swing tackle.
It's called not enough coin to go around. Checkout the reason why Cincinnati will have to face some tough decisions coming up...i think there's reason for pause when his existing team doesn't want to pay $6 mil per and $5 mil guaranteed to a starting 28 year old left tackle coming off a no sack season...definitely something a miss there

Would not surprise me if Cincy drafted a QB this draft. Something tells me Cincy is not all in on Andy Dalton...truthfully the guy is winning with one of the most talented rosters in the league but not because of him, in spite of him.I see tons of major obstacles there for 2015. That frankly looks brutal. But, 2014 looks quite clear to me. If the idea is too much locked up in OT's then maybe we can get one.
They are looking at lots of major investments in 2015 if Dalton and Green come off their rookie contracts and Burfict off his UDFA agreement. Then having Peko and Gresham ... sounds like a cap nightmare.

Well, if your alternative is to pay McKinnie similar money for another year's declining production, it strikes me as a move with little enough downside. Regardless of what Cincy's reasoning is for letting him go.
