Besides Murray and Morris, Fins interested in Mettenberger and Price

This is all nonsense smoke screen time unless you work in Hickeys office you have no idea who we are really interested in thank god draft is almost here so all the speculation can end

price is horrid...horrid...stephen morris has some talent but god he was bad senior bowl week and boy does he do some dumb things at times...pass on both

mettenberger will go before miami would use a pick on a qb anyways...aaron murray in our system should he last long enough i can see a pick there...but it would have to be day 3

I like Murray as a 4th round or later pick....no one in the early rounds interest me (as they would come at the expense of another need or more protection for Tannehill).

murrays arm is being questioned a lot...west coast system is his fit...he fits us...plays smart i think he ids coverage well...some of these other guys would be lost in our option route system...spray the ball into all kinds of coverage can't read db leverage and throw the ball away from coverage etc

Yes, best fit of the later round QB's....I also like that the guy has started for a SEC school the last 4 years....not an easy thing to do. I watched the kid play a few times in high school as well and always like to see the local kids on teams I follow.

ideal fit for murray is the obvious one...groom behind brees in new orleans..to me that's ideal...wouldn't surprise me if they grabbed him in the 3rd...that offense for his arm would be a good fit

I thought the same thing and i was excited for a second. I watched him play a little, and he has the tools and athleticism that may be worth a late rd pick.

UW has got some real talent in this draft. Now, that they have a decent HC, it'll make the Pac12 North real interesting.

Looks like thy are going to pick up a 2nd or 3rd tier QB prospect in the middle rounds to replace Matt Moore

we have so many needs at so many positions, and the draft is supposedly so deep with talent, i really don't want this to be the year we spend any draft picks on QB.

We need to be drafting a QB at least every other year in the later rounds, or else you end up like we did after Marino. Sitting there wondering, "Well, what do we do now..."

i usually agree with that philosophy. and if someone you think is a stud falls to the later rounds, i guess i'd have to grab him. but how many of those "drafted in the later rounds" (5th, 6th or 7th round) QB's have developed into a top notch NFL starter for any team recently?

and if you draft a late round QB this year and he is capable of coming in and immediately providing direct competition for tannehill, you are in deep, deep trouble.

On top of that, we have to remember that Hickey did not draft Tannehill. On top of that, there needs to be legitimate competition at ALL positions, including quarterback.

Along with doing their due dillagence, they are planting the idea out there that if a QB falls that we might be a wild card to take one at 19. If your a team thinking of waiting until the end of the first or top of the second to draft a
QB you had better give some consideration to trading up for #19. It's all about the leverage.

I would look at using anywhere from the 3rd on...

Interesting since Miami wasn't represented at the UGA pro day. There is enough tape on Murray though to know who he is and what he is capable of.

Murray>Mett>Morris

I probably don't know anything, but Murray is the QB I like best in this class after Bridgewater and Manziel. I loved what I saw of him.
