who *will be* the best clutch player for the 05 fins????(explain)

edit:sry i forgot to put the will be in there

the obvious answer is Mare. The man doesn't miss when we need it most.

Mare is a good answer, but I'm gonna say Jason Taylor also. He comes with the big sack at time, or a key QB pressure at the right time too.

Yeah Olindo sure was clutch against the Patriots a few years back when it mattered most.

:yell: :fire:

for defense i agree, he always seems to come with a big sack or hit or just a big play, like in the dallas game 2 years back when the game needed to be put away he recovered the fumble and ran it in for the TD, you just have to love taylor:D

Oh I could think of a few times. As I'm sure most could.

Oh of course. But im just saying the obvious. Mare never seems to let us down when it comes to making the kick to win the game. now sure theres people on here that willa rgue hes gotten worse every year, and he has a bit. But if theres 3 seconds left, and its a 53 yarder. We're in better shape then most teams are with mare. (ask the jets, look what they used there 2nd pick on because there so desperate for what we take for granted)

Yeah, JT would have to be it. He is one of those rare players that can take over a game.

you obviously don`t remember some games vs NE in 2002/2003.

I think is JT, he usually makes sacks in critical games and with a better scheme he will be more clutch

I think he's a good kicker, but I will never forget that game against the Pats.

Did you not see the two 37 yarders he missed v. Pats or the FG against Texans that was the difference between us going to the playoffs in 2003 and the Pats going?

Clutch

Mare?????

Defense - last year had to be Zack. In on almost every play. This year I think it's going to be Taylor. Especially if he plays LB, you'll see his tackles go way up.
Offense - last year I'd go w/Chambers. Didn't catch everyone he neede too or should've but came up big in a lot of downs. This year I think it's going to be R.Brown. I feel if he gets signed soon and learns the plays that he'll be posting 110 - 130 yard games w/2 TD's minimum, and be able to keep RW where he belongs as a back up (& trade bait).

Yeah I tend to agree with that. Who knows maybe this is the year when Chambers can step it up a little more and become that go to guys that can take over a game.

yeh, i think i shold of included Z.T. in that poll too o well, its good, i also beilieve ronnie will become a clutch player for us with his ability to catch and run, i only put derrious thompson up there cuase he reminds me of a robert horry type of deal with his catch against the pats but now that i think of it he hasnt had many more clutch catches that i know of
