Are you sure he's not talking about the game where we lost at the Meadowlands in OT when Ken O'Brien hit Wesley Walker on a bomb in the endzone? Then again, that was in 86 I believe.

September 1st, 1994, Dan Marino's first game back after rupturing his Achilles' tendon in 1993. He throws for 473 yards and 5 TDs to beat the Pats 39-35. The game-winner comes on a 33 yard bomb to Fryar on a 4th and 5 play with only minutes left to play.

To me this is the best like you said without a doubt. I remember being so hyped up for the game and Marino throws for almost 500 and 5tds was a site for sore eyes.. The game was incredible with Bledsoe throwing for over 400 and 4td also. What about the play on like a 3rd and 8 were Marino gimps to a 1st down. In my lifetime this is followed by Lamar Smith playoff game.

Dan Marino's 4th quarter comeback in the January 1991 playoff game against KC. Marino goes 8 for 8 with 2 TDs in the 4th quarter, including the most incredible pass to Mark Clayton, for the 17-16 win.

Mercury Morris rushes for 197 yards and 3 TDs on just 15 carries.

Paul Warfield catches 4 TD passes in the first half against Detroit.

Larry Csonka rushes for 145 Yards in the Super Bowl against Minnesota.

Jake Scott makes 2 key INTs in the Super Bowl against Washington.

Freddie Solomon scores on a 79 yard punt return, 53 yard pass reception, and 59 yard reverse against Buffalo in 1976.

Bob Griese throws for 6 TDs in a 55-15 Thanksgiving Day win over Detroit, 55-14.

Don Strock comes off the bench in the playoff game against San Diego to throw for over 400 yards and leads the Dolphins to come back from 24-0 down, before eventually losing in OT.

Dan Marino throws for 5 TDs in the AFC championship against Pittsburgh.

Mark Duper gains 217 yards receiving against the Jets, including the 50 yard game winner with less than a minute left to play.

Lamar Smith rushes for 209 yards against Indy in the playoffs.

Dick Anderson intercepts 4 passes, returning 2 for TDs in a 1973 Monday night game against the Steelers.

Marino throws for 448 yards and 6 TDs in a 51-45 loss to the Jets.

I was gonna mention the Dick Anderson game against the Steelers also, it sticks out in my mind as the single greatest defensive performance by a Dolphin defender, besides the 4 INTS I also remember an awesome fumble he caused by diving over the line of scrimmage at the snap.

AJ Duhe's AFC championship game was also incredible.

Griese's 6 touchdown passes on thanksgiving day, only I think your mistaken, I'm pretty sure that was against the St Louis Cardinals wasn't it?

My favorite perfromance ever was Troy Stradford in his Rookie year vs. Dallas.

This one was voted as greatest individual NFL performance, ever, not just Dolphins, by ESPN many years ago.

I remember it well. We were up huge, then Pittsburgh made a BIG comeback. Late, late in the game, Miami's ball, Pittsburgh had us close to the goal line and they were behind by maybe 3, anticipating getting a short punt and good return. It looked glum; momentum had swung HARD in Pitt's favor. Shula had Griese run around, burning as much time as he could, and take a safety. At FIRST, the MNF guys (Cosell, Meredith, Gifford) were like, "Oh, MY GOODNESS IS PITTSBURG POURING IT ON" ... then it dawned on them; following the safety we got to kick off from our own 40, rather than punt from the back of the endzone. Their tune changed to "MY GOD, IS SHULA BRILLIANT OR WHAT?!?!??" They were stunned. Pittsburgh had the long field to deal with and time ran out on them. The first time I'd seen an intentional safety.

It was against the 70's dynasty Steelers team, thats what made it so sweet.

There were some memorable matchups between the two greatest teams of the seventies, the Dolphins won the earlier games and the Steelers took over after Csonka, Kiick and Warfield left for the WFL.

Most Dolphin fans don't realize that in our undefeated season, despite entering the AFC Championship game at 15-0, the rules were different then and we had to go on the road and beat that great Steelers team to continue the undefeated season and win Superbowl 7.

Aside from MANY obvious Marino performances....

AJ Duhe in the AFC "Mud Bowl" Championship game against the Jets.
He almost singlehandedly one that game for the Fins and his INT for a TD was classic.

Too bad no one could stop flippin John Riggins in the next game.

Yeah, actually, I think that season was the first Steeler SB season, the previous year being the Dolphins' last of the 70s.
