Best/Worst Uniforms

Old Tampa Bay was awsome.....no im not kidding. I also like the Cardinals uniforms (not the brand new ones)......I know i have horrible taste.

I don't think your mascot has to be intimidating (I like the Packers and there's tons of jokes that go with them) but most would agree that a dolphin is one of the lesser intimidating mascots. I dunno, I've never lived by the ocean, maybe they would freak me out there more :confused:

It's not about intimidation to me. USUALLY, when your a badazz, you don't go around trying to intimidate people.

A perfect example of this in the ocean is the Dolphin (porpoise). They are the baddest animals in the ocean. They may not be ruthless, but a single Dolphin can easily take on a Great White Shark.

I was diving for lobster in 20 feet of water on the reef. Twenty yards away the water dropped to over 100, and a school of Dolphin swam in, eating bait fish. They scared the heck out of me because for one, they are not scared, and two they do not look like the normal flipper. Most of them were covered with scars and their curious animals. They come right up to you, not looking to be touched either.

Schoolhouse Rocks...that's classic! I really think Buffalo should just change their name. There has to be something else that would suit the city and lend to a better uniform.

I thought the old Bucs ones were awesome as well. I thought the color scheme was fantastic. If they were consistent winners in those duds, they would've never changed. That 97 team would still have gone 10-6 even with those uniforms. They were so different than anyting else on the field at the time, and I think that logo actually captured more of a swashbuckling image than the one they have now.

The recent article talking about how "bad" the Dolphins logo is got me thinking about the best and worst uniforms in football. I've always thought the Dolphins were the best. The only exception being the orange jerseys which I absolutely hate. Anyway, here's my to 10 best and worst.

Best
1. Miami (color scheme and Dolphin on the helmet is great)
2. Jacksonville (I really like the Jaguar on the helmet, color scheme)
3. Tampa Bay (the old ones were terrible, the new ones look great)
4. New England (big improvement over old unis)
5. San Diego (gives off the appearance of speed, like their classic unis)
6. Dallas (simple, but classic)
7. Minnesota (another "speedy" looking uni)
8. San Francisco (could do more with the helmet, like home color scheme)
9. Indianapolis (a little plain, but overall ok)
10. Oakland (could use an upgrade, but probably most imposing uni)

Worst
1. Cleveland (Unimaginative, plain helmet is terrible)
2. Green Bay (Horrible color scheme, simply ugly)
3. Chicago (so much more could be done w/a Bear -- see Jags helmet)
4. Buffalo (color scheme is good, red Buffalo makes me wonder, plus name is bad. It's an animal that is eaten rather than a predator)
5. Tennessee (just can't get used to them)
6. New York Jets (classic ones are better, but still don't like them)
7. Pittsburgh (why not put a logo on both sides of the helmet, stripes on pants are too thick)
8. New York Giants (dislike the road unis, plus not a fan of the helmet)
9. Washington (color scheme is good, could update helmet)
10. Detroit (I like the color scheme, helmet doesn't work for me)

In terms of just color scheme, I would DEFINATELY say that the Vikings have the absolute worst, that purple and "gold" makes me wanna vomit. As for best color scheme, I am very partial to blue and white, so I'd have to say colts, but definately not in terms of design, just strictly color-wise.
