Big if but..........

It's not like baseball where stats ensure immortality.

Except for Pete Rose.

With Brown here now I don't think he'll get the chance to put up the numbers he would need to get in the HOF. He has the talent, no question about it. I just don't see him getting there statistically.

I think they're alluding to Ricky's fondness for the stuff at Jamaica U High.

u mean weed? ricky doeznt do drugz, dont say dat about my favorite player!!! its mean

Even if he plays another 5 or 6 years (which I doubt he will) I don't think he makes it into the hall of fame. He really only had one really good season, and all the others were mediocre except he had a ton of carries. Besides.......... I don't think Miami will ever really count on him again, and neither will any other team. He may become a feature back again one day, but out of fear of him doing something stupid I don't see any team giving him a boatload of carries which he seems to need to break 1,000 yards

well he does have a total of 6,000 and some yrds rushing in 5 seasons and i would think it would take maybe 10,000 yrds to even be considered because he has had no other significant stat except his amount of carries

Several certified drug tests indicate otherwise.
Several admissions by Ricky himself indicate otherwise.

Its OK if Ricky is your favorite player, but just realize that in addition to being a very talented running back, part of what Ricky has been over the past few years is a frequent drug user. Maybe he really has given it up for good....maybe not. I guess time will tell

Sorry if that bursts your bubble.

I think the only way Ricky makes it into the HOF is if he becomes a dominant force again and remains at that level for at least another 5 or 6 years. Given the situation in Miami I cant see that happening there. Even if another team trades for him, nobody is going to stake their future on Ricky after what he pulled last season, so wherever he goes, that team is going to have a viable backup plan. That means they will have at least a servicable RB in addition to Ricky meaning Ricky's carries will probably be greatly reduced. Add in the fact that he is going to be anybody's sentimental favorite and I think its highly ulikely that Ricky will ever be in the HOF.

Jamaica is very well know for it's grass.....kind of like Bermuda, just in a different way

i know right, how did you he not know that, like bob marley comes from jamaica and everyone knows what he smoked..........how could he not know that:confused:

I honestly think he's going to get himself out of debt then bale out again. He's motivated by money, not love of football.

who knows what the guy is really motivated by, he doesnt even know

this guy could play for 10 more years, he will NEVER go to the hall of fame unless he breaks every record out there.

This guy made a joke out of the league and what it stands for. No way he will ever get voted in by the committee.
