Big O: Hearing Peyton Manning to Dolphins, Reggie Wayne might follow

please give up on manning people. i love him, he's one of the greatest qb's of this generation (i'd say the best light years ahead of brady biatch from an intellectual standpoint alone). the man is one dirty bart scott hit away from never walking again. even if he does come back he's going to be so petrified of getting hit his decisions will be altered dramatically. matt moore is fearless and with a full season of workouts and training camp he could easily be our version of alex smith. with the switch to the 4-3 our defensive line would be absolutely ruthless with the addition of mathis or super mario. its time to just be smart and draft the BPA and keep building our team and go for a playoff birth. when you have a piece of trash owner like ross, it is what it is. he's going to bring in some "name" in another poor attempt at selling tickets to a franchise that has given me stomach ache after stomach ache year in and year out. our best bet is to keep matt moore, draft a mid round qb and if we suck trade up for barkley next year. this team isn't elite unless we get andrew luck and even he isn't taking us to the superbowl in year 1.

I have heard more than one specialist in the field of this type of injury saying he is at no greater risk of serious injury than a QB who has never been hurt. This is a risk the Fins will clearly wade into. It's hard to imagine they'd pass up a chance to land Peyton Manning.

only way i see us being able to afford manning and reggie wayne is if wayne agrees to play for pretty much the vet minimum...and i don't think there's a shot in hell he's gonna do that

still think manning and wayne end up in washington who has plenty of cap room and an owner who will throw truck loads of loot at them both...

Ever hear of Tim Dwight? the NFL's fastest man before he tore his knee up.

Love the irony about cornfed white boy considering where Tim Dwight went to college.

Yea, I was getting a little sick reading someone here just claim that because someone was white it was immediately dismissed for being fast..

i heard Mortensen say that peyton was wayyy ahead of schedule , said all these people saying this and that about him not being able to throw and all was bull , said peyton was getting stronger and stronger everyday.

and the other thing is all the to do about four surgeries. Anyone consider the surgeries are to make sure all is as good as can be? People with money who care about being able to be perfect again might tend to spend that money to be sure.

Ive said all along, the only opinion I care about is Peyton himself. He wouldnt feed people crap and has too much character.

Either Peyton can throw the ball or he can't....it's that simple. Ireland needs to fly to Indy with Marshall and a couple other receivers (If Manning becomes a Free Agent) and see if Peyton can throw the short and long routes, slants and can go to his right and left. Reports are that he is throwing the ball pretty well. The next question is, "Does getting sacked/hit risk further injuring the area. or is a more of a nerve issue that may just have to run it's course over time." Sometimes you have degenerative issues like arthritis, scar tissue and things that have nothing to do with getting sacked or hit. I just hope Manning can play for at least three more years as he has been a class act and a guy you root for no matter where he ends up. I would love to see him in a Phin's uniform if he can play at close to what he once was.

imo peyton is getting stronger and stronger and is coming right along with his rehab go here and listen to what mort says about 1/2 through the video http://www.miamidolphins.com/media/...ng--More/07d2e709-2a1c-4385-af5e-8931a5add795

And if R BUSH, who DOES get injured, goes down, MIAMI is absolutely f*c8*d. THOMAS was d**k last season: not powerful, not fast, injury prone, and all-around-mediocre. Have I missed any more of his "traits"? Take off your "Homey" glasses, and try intellectual honesty.

here is some intellectual honesty. We just signed the best RB from the CFL. Thomas didnt get to have an offseason full of team workouts and had to go on little practice time with the team. This will be his first full offseason with a fresh start with new offense. Not making excuses, just think a little deeper sometimes. Put yourself in their shoes. Players screwed themselves with this CBA IMO. Half the team either had a hammy or a groin.

A neck injury to a QB is like a Achilles injury to a RB.We need to be very careful in evaluating his progress because if hes not even close to 100% i dont want him.

Flynn is the safest option imo.

Agreed. I am scared about his neck too. It affects a lot of what a QB can do. Flynn is healthy with a high ceiling with more years left than Manning. Wouldn't even mind getting Flynn and then going after a young qb in the draft. Cover every base as far as QB, a position badly neglected or mismanaged by this franchise going on over a decade now.

I want Manning, simply put. If he is playing I'm sure he believes he can play at a high level. Some of you guys need to remember who Peyton is.

Bottom line--no GM would choose a RB w our high pick w our situation. You can go through all the "what if's" you'd like. I'm not a homey, just not a dumba$$.

Bring them both in. Draft a pass rusher first round. Ill see you in New Orleans.

Mort and Polian said that Manning was ahead of schedule, and he is throwing pretty well. Please don't let him go to Buffalo or the Jets because we are afraid to take a chance on him

Flynn might be the younger option but man you're in the AFC east with the jets, buffalo and New england, Miami needs a Quarterback who will be a coach on the field, and gives them a chance to compete every week, against pittsburgh, baltimore houston, and the rest of those teams that we didn't stack up against well.
