Big Paul is leaving miami

So far, I like the Hickey way. Still way too early to say if he's an effective GM or not, but I like the idea, build through the draft, resign your key players at key positions. Preferably without overpaying them. I hated Irelands method of looking for acorns and paying the 15th best wideout(maybe) in the league quarterback money.

Let him go. He's not worth it. Money can be better spent elsewhere.
He's replaceable and is coming off a sub par yr.
He was never given a hometown discount. He was paid fair market value for what he is. He's a 2 down DT.

Pittsburgh needs a NT as the kid from Washington didn't work and McClendon is a tad undersized, but Pittsburgh isn't in great cap shape IIRC.

Chicago could be a landing spot as Mel Tucker has used 2 big DTs in the past in Jacksonville.

I'd love to have Paul back, but in Coyle's defense his skill set isn't as needed.

I love Paul and think we should offer him some good coin to come back but as a two down player its hard to justify a huge contract. I'd hate to see our run D without him though. He played pretty damn well last year until he got hurt, Canter talked about it at the end of the year.

If he wanted to go somewhere he should go to Washington actually. They need a DT for thier 3-4 and Barry Coefield is getting up there in age would be a nice piece for them

He was over paid a few years ago... hasn't made impact plays to even be considered for that type of money. Wish him the best though. Now who is going to shave penises in the rookies hair?

I'd be more concerned if we played a 3-4. Also, It doesn't seem like he plays to his full potential all the time. sometimes he dominates and sometimes he disappears.

I've read where the team is letting Starks go to FA but, has asked him to let them know of his offers to see if they could match them.

As long as we keep one of the two I cant imagine a problem occuring. I love depth on the DL for the long season and long games, but those two will be pricey.

Soliai is a two down player for us. Not sure how much he's looking for but anything north of $6.5 million I think would be too much for us especially in a year where the draft is stacked with 4-3 DTs. I would like to bring Starks back though if Soliai does leave.

Well if he wants to leave...sign Starks. They are both very good DTs and close in age. One stays and one goes
