Bigger joke than AJ Feeley...

I can't beleive the way the NFL Draft went for Miami. It was a JOKE! They got "ok" players, and wasted the 2nd round pick on ANOTHER DE. I mean, the last time I checked Jason Taylor/Kevin Carter were both pretty solid players. Why in the world would the Fins take Roth?!?! What a waste of a pick. And taking a LB when QB's such as Lefour and Frye were available?!?! JOKE, JOKE, JOKE. I'm not quite sure how anyone expects the team to do well when the Dolphins front offices are ran by morons.

I would dearly love to tell you EXACTLY how I feel about your uneducated opinion but....the last time I did that to another poster I got a 24...

you want to base our future on another doug flutie...i dont belive so

yea we don't need DES, im sure jason taylor, vonnie holiday, and kevin carter are going to play for at least 7 more years. please.

excellent pick.

BUT, there were no personnel available at our 2nd pick that would have fit that bill. if YOU think so, name who....

Frye, Lefours, plenty of OL players...anymore!?!?

Look, there are many many teams that would accept you as a fan.

Jump on another bandwagon, the Fins wagon got lighter last year, should I push the dead weight your putting on the wagon or shall you jump on your own? :shakeno:

This draft is exactly what this team needed. This defense is getting old. The offense is VERY young in comparison. If you are going to rebuild for longevity you have to start with the oldest unit. Saban did a fantastic job in not only making this defense younger, more viable in the future... but also SO mush more virsitile than it has been in ages.

Take a look at the Pats defense... do you like what you see there? If so, then you would be loving this draft as well.

LeFors (nice spelling btw) was projected to go in the 6th round... picking him in the 2nd would have been really stupid.

and give a specific NAME of an O-linemen you think we should have gone with? there weren't any that were BPA in that area.

Frye is the only one i'll agree with you on. I wish we would have picked him up. i was actually surprised he fell to the 3rd round.

Sure, Roth is pretty good. But we need NO DE's...we NEED a QB, an offensive line, FB, etc, much more than another DE. FACT.

Nick addressed the oline by drafting a Left Tackle.. he addressed the RB with Brown.

There were alot of "name" QBs that didnt even get drafted.

Just because he might have used a pick for a QB doesnt mean that they will translate into a starter. Why havent you realized this.

Im sure if Saban feels like there is a need.. they will look at an UDFA QB.

Sheesh.. your argument is making Feeley look genius. And you.. well... not so.

It seems that Saban has taken Bates parting words seriously. The defense is getting old
and needs fresh blood.Remember that Saban is a defensive specialist and he will want to get that unit ready before anything else.

Call me stupid or whatever...but the way I see it, teams typically address problems in their roster...I see NO problem at DE (maybe you do)...BUT I do see some major concerns at QB. If you can't see that problem, you're blind.

Teams typically choose to address problems OR pick the Best Player Available. Reaching to draft a player who will fill a need, but is not worthy of drafting at that position, is how poorly managed teams stay in the basement.

The PROBLEM at DE, is that all of our talented DE's are ageing. Roth was an outstanding value at our position.

Apparently, Saban doesn't believe that there are big enough concerns at QB to draft someone.

If that doesn't make sense, go back to being a troll.

Kevin Carter will move inside and play DT a lot. Holliday is extremely unreliable and was signed to a 1 year deal. Roth was a great pick. Why would we take Lefors in the 2nd round when he went so late. If you want to argue for a QB say we should of taken one over Daniels or Alabi, there was no QB taken in the 2nd Round that Id rather have over Roth.

GO back to the pond rookie. We did a good job this year in the draft.Roth was not a waste of pick.He was the best there at the time.Carter is getting old.Saban thinking about the future of this team. Become a San Fran fan .They have a good young QB.

I would say there isn't a QB I would have taken that was available at the Daniels or Alabi picks either. We needed a Saftey and an offensive line-man. Both the players we picked were rated higher than any QB available at the time AND they filled a couple needs. So I like those picks. Daniels started out at safety if I am not mistaken and was moved to CB. So I don't see any reason why he can't move back, if he puts on a few pounds.

Why do you guys waste your time with people that have no clue what they are talking about, as soon as this clown said that we should have taken Lefors in the 2nd i peed myself laughing and he lost all credibilty as someone that knew anything about football....Ignore these posts and they will go away

Yeah, Roth is pretty good. We just improved our defensive line with Roth. Is Vonnie Holliday such a stud that he'll be dominating Tackles for us for years and years to come? Kevin will be playing DT for us which should help improve our Rush D tremendously. We don't need a FB, Heath Evans and Jamar Martin is plenty to replace injury prone underachiever Rob Konrad. Did you honestly expect us to draft a FB? FB's are drafted in the 6th, 7th round or undrafted at all. If we drafted a FB in any round, that definitely would've been a WASTE. QB is the biggest question mark we may very well have. There was no sure fire answer in the draft that would solve our problem. Smith went #1. Would we really go out of our way to trade up to get him when we have so many other needs like RB which we fulfilled drafting Ronnie Brown? Our Offensive line has imrpoved already last year with the acquisition of Stockar McDougle whom may very well be the best player on our offensive line and Hudson Houck coaching which believe it or not is a HUGE improvement from last year. If you want an in depth analysis of our offensive line take a look here http://www.phins.com/chris/column_040205.html
We have young guys who have yet to be coached properly Houck will come in here this year and determine whether or not we need more changes. We also drafted Anthony Alabi who Houck personally scouted and if Houck wanted him over Wesley Britt that tells you this kid must have talent... I wouldn't call this a bad draft at all. I also wouldn't call it an A+ draft. It was a pretty good draft, it didn't go the way I thought it would and I think the same would go for everyone else.
