Bill Belichick accepts job with UNC

Your memory isn't serving you well Ray.

In the Wells report I posted they DID interview the Refs. What you read were likely just sports site opinions, assumptions or conjecture,

The lawsuit from Brady was an attempt to overturn the 4 game suspension, aspects of the Wells report were entered in as part of the Official record. The suspension was originally overturned but the NFL appealed it and won the appeal.

Just for you Ray...

HA! Where's Miami going to go, AAC? Conference USA? Sunbelt?

They definitly would not succeed in the SEC or BIG XII
This guy would disagree with you anyway.

Huh?? What's that got to do with anything?

Despite being in the ACC for 2 decades, UM has never won a single championship. What makes you think they can handle the big leagues when they can't even compete in the minors.
They are a member of the big leagues right? They did lose by 3 TDs on their home field by the minor league team, right?

NIL money, just spending money in general has them on the right path. A winning record vs. the SEC over the past 40 years, 5 national titles as well have shown they can be up to it.

It really doesn't matter anyway. Unless they change where they are going, D-1 college football is setting itself up for failure in the coming decade.

No, they are not. The ACC doesn't even sniff the BIG 10 or SEC's jocks.

You harp about 5 national titles, but UM hasn't won a championship since 2001. I was simply referring to CONFERENCE titles. They can't even win one of those in the ACC. How are they going to compete in a major conference? Don't say NIL money, because ALL of the teams in those conferences are printing cash for recruits too.

This is coming from someone who was born in Miami and followed them for decades. Don't be a homer. It's okay to admit that a team we root for isn't remotely close to being on the same level of SEC teams or BIG 10 teams, and they haven't for over 20 years.

Up until 4 or 5 years ago, I would agree. Not now. The money is being spent, but it's not a window of opportunity for long. The networks are driving college football instead of the schools themselves. The conferences are too narrow-minded to think outside of their own selfish interests. There's no Pete Rozelle in college football like the NFL had back in the day, to tell them the good of the league (sport) will make for a strong league and all will profit.

For now though, they do have the NIL money for recruits. Solid portal use, including getting the cream of the crop in Ward last year. Top 10, even top 5 recruiting classes, for the past 3 years. Up until this year when it was all SEC and B1G schools in the top 10 with the new contracts in play. So, like I said, the window is closing, but for now, they can compete.

And what about Clemson? Where did I mention anything about them?

Go back and re-read, because I'm not saying that an ACC team can't compete.

What I'm saying is that UM has not been relevant in 2 decades and has not shown anything close to changing that.

Gone are the UM glory days in the 80's and 90's. That's a remnant of the past (just like the Dolphins) and I will not believe otherwise until they actually win the big game. And we all know that is not happenig anytime soon.

I hope you're right, but I've been hoping in UM and the Dolphins too much, too frequently, and I'm tired of being consistenly let down. So forgive my doubts.

Here ya go, Clemson is an ACC team.

Say what you want about BB, his mastery of game planning is going to run roughshod over the ACC.
He would be an upgrade over the trash we have here in Miami. But unfortunately his ego was too big to understand that he needed to tweak his system.

The Brady vs BB seems to work in favor of Brady, but people forget that BB's defense won the first 4 SBs for his QB. Heck, he even mastered the art of cheating in games. 🤣

Thank you for proving my point. There's only one ACC team that could remotely compete with SEC (or the best of the BIG 10) teams on the regular. The rest of the conference is currently minor league status.

As for Clemson.... they had what, 4 losses this season? One loss was to Louisville, but care to tell me who the other 3 losses were against??

Lotta words for I was wrong. It's okay. We're done here.

Because in the current age of Now It's Legal, other conferences can do what the SEC has been doing for decades.

Not only that, Miami joining the SEC would give the Hurricanes a treasure trove in media revenue to compete. (This is coming from someone who isn't a Miami nor a fan of any SEC team)
