Bills are a nightmare matchup for Miami

Buffalo has one of the better OL in the entire league. Just FYI.

Ummm...nope. The center was solid, but the rest were sub-par. Henderson did his best J. Martin impression of a turnstile. EJ's going to be running scared quite a bit.

There are still some poor physical matchups, but Buffalo doesn't have to score. A nightmare matchup would be physical superiority combined with a quarterback who takes full advantage. Manuel doesn't qualify. He could easily blow field position and commit critical mistakes, keeping the scoreboard relatively clean even if the Dolphins are losing the run of play.

Even last year the Bills were settling for short field goals when rightfully it should have been far more lopsided.

Miami needs to survive Buffalo's early onslaught of energy, the anti revenge fury. Make no mistake they'll be flying around out there trying to take our heads off. But eventually that will start to wear off. I won't be surprised if the Dolphins rally to win again.

Should be a physical enjoyable game. Buffalo will be sky high emotionally and I suspect the Dolphins won't suffer from the typical letdown of a road team coming off a victory. With a new confidence based on the offensive scheme, and several new defenders, Miami should carry over some confidence from last week.

When I looked at the Patriot tape a second time, Miami's interior rushers weren't as effective as I believed initially. Virtually all the meaningful damage was off the flanks. We need people in Manuel's face up the middle, particularly on 3rd down.

Uhm, no. The center and LT are both pro bowl quality and their RT and guard isn't far behind.

If you get up by 2 touchdowns at ANY point the game is over.

I highly doubt that will happen with our defense.

But anything is possible.[QUOTE.

My brother is a Bills fan (lord help him )but i was telling him ,its going to be a good game , i also said if we can make it a 2 score game and get buff out of the comfort zone and EJ into a passing game we will win , and he agreed , but from what i have seen out of our OL , its gonna be tough for you guys to get to our QB ,THE GUYS WE HAVE NOW are a pretty strong line (and getting stronger every game ) like i said i think it will be a close game , and a good game to watch .

Calling for 61 degrees and no wind for Sunday in Buffalo. Absolutely perfect football weather and that'll feel like a walk in the park for our guys who are used to working out in the heat and humidity.

Yeah there's no doubt the game is over if it becomes a 2 TD game.

I haven't seen this revamped Dolphins OL, but it's only been one game. Flukes happen. Guess we'll see if they're the real deal when they have Mario Williams, Brandon Spikes, Marcel Dareus, and Jerry Hughes flying in on them.

That's very interesting.

If what you said (in bold) is true, it could be a long day for your pass rush.

Fred Jackson is the anti-flank. One of the best in the NFL.

Not really sure how the buffalo OL is but what scares me most is that they might use the veracity of our front 4 against us. They let us come in like crazy and then they do some toss sweeps that would require our LBs to defend.......just hoping Coyle will be aware of this and have a spy most of the game.

Not last week your LT wasn't pro bowl quality...I'm not referring to 2013. He was good, center was solid, the rest of them, Henderson, Pears, Williams, well...let's just say they're not scaring any of our DL. In no way does that = best OL in the league...sorry.

One thing Coyle knows, is the Buffalo screen/sweep stuff. He knows they're going to do it...he's going to scheme around it...the players will have to be disciplined and aggressive/quick thinkers to have an impact on it.

I keep hearing about the d-line of Buffalo, but what about their secondary? Do they have the personnel to cover Hartline, Gibson and Landry? Who is their ace to cover Wallace all game? Anyone better than Revis that Mike scorched last week?
With Tannehill throwing much quicker, this awesome d-line of Buff me low may not be the factor it was last year.

Buffalo's tackles will likely have a good day stats wise because I think we tend to play pretty conservatively against mobile QBs with our DEs. I expect we'll use that 5-2 a lot again with Shelby and Vernon asked to simply occupy the edges while Wake roams around.

It's usually no cake-walk with the Bills. They play with a lot of finesse.

The keys for both teams are as always, turnovers, health the clock, etc.

Psychologically, is also key. Notice how the Dolphins played vs. New England. In short, they came to play. Even after the interception, their demeanor was ... "so what! Let's play and have some real fun!"

Their secondary did well against Chicago last week, but that's the same Chicago O that's on several seasons worth of tape. Man-for-man, their secondary isn't as revered as the Pats, but it's still up in the air since the season is so young. They have no clue what we're going to hit them with (nor do we). We'll have our opportunities, for sure...just gotta take advantage of them.

I wouldn't be surprised if Buffalo's d-line holds our offense at bay all game. I wouldn't be surprised if Miami repeats what they did several years ago and dominates them. I wouldn't be surprised if it's a close game and Dan Carpenter nets the game winner. It's a division game, and for some reason no matter which team seems the best on paper out of us, the Bills, and the Jets, the other seems to play spoiler that season.
