Bills cut players

More interested in Morse as a band aid for letting Williams walk and then draft a long term replacement next year
Was at the Arnold Classic in Columbus this weekend.
I would do the same with Morse.

They also cut their Punt Returner Deonte Hardy
I almost missed the Arnold classic because i didn’t know they started on Leap Day lol

Well…they were. From what I read the expected Josh Allen restructure that converts his stuff to signing bonus will put them in good shape.

Morse is the only one of their moves that moves the needle. He was still playing at a high level for them. Probably still has a good year or two left.

The others? Meh. Tre’s injuries ruined a good career. Poyer regressed a lot last year and is probably aged out. The rest were depth guys. And I think they’re going to be better off replacing Gabe Davis with a rookie. He put up a lot of drops, a lot of 0s and couldn’t get open. Good blocker though. Some team is going to regret the contract they give him this year.

Outside of Morse…I don’t really think they got worse. Got holes to fill…and have to do it in the draft for the most part. Their D will look different. But with Kincaid going into year 2, Shakir becoming a bigger part of the offense after the OC change, Cook in his prime…they add a quality WR in the draft they’re still dangerous. They kind of quietly rebuilt the offense the last couple of years.
Good, let em do it. They are burning themselves for a decade by constantly restructuring the guy who can never cross the finish line.

They've just released half of their starting secondary, the starting centre and the return specialist who won them the division and are still $15M over the cap with less restructure space than the Dolphins. They are also losing a starting S, DT and WR to free agency next week when it opens up. If this was the Dolphins this place would be in full on meltdown.

They are completely blowing up their defence but are limited in cap space yet they are getting better while the Dolphins will be worse somehow.
They aren’t losing prime players like Wilkins. They’re moving on from aged players. Hyde and Poyer aren’t the Hyde and Poyer of three years ago. White hasn’t been a full time starter in over two years. They filled that hole with Rasul Douglas already. Harty had like 15 catches the entire year.

They have their starting 2 corners, both starting LBrs and their best DT signed and in their prime. Outside of Morse the people they’re losing are leaving a year too late if we’re being honest about it.

That’s on him?

Have you looked at his playoff numbers? What the D people are so happy they’re losing the old parts of has done in those games? People should WISH they could keep some of these players on the payroll. Take away the chance that they build a D that can ever stop Mahomes once.

Maybe I just feel like we should try to get to half as many wins against him as he has AFC offensive player awards after facing us before we victory dance

Aged or not those are two starting safeties that played just about every game for the #4 ranked defense. Morse also played every game and the bills were one of the few teams who had all 5 starters play every game. Those are major pieces aged or not.

Harty seems like a fit. Here's film from Bills fans with Harty as a receiver.
