Billy Turner Documentary - DRIVEN

To get James and Turner up to speed, perhaps Philbin should do what Shula did with Webb and Sims. He gave them every snap in preseason.
In this day and age that might be too grueling, though

exellent post JIM.

and i agree. that is what i hope they do. and i dont think they drafted james and turner that hi, and especially with the need we have on the line for them not to start.

shula use to do that with all the draft pics. each practice they all gt some significant time with the starters to properly gauge there progress and talent. maybe that why we always had great talent and don won more games than any other coach in nfl history.

turner and james are going to be the 2013 version of webb and sims.

Might be a rough start for the rookies Turner and James to get up to speed of the NFL.
I think after a few games the offensive line will be good enough.

James will be going up against Wake every day and Turner will be facing Odrick and Starks every day. That should help them adjust to high level competition quickly. Didn't help Martin as much but Martin wasn't as talented as both these guys nor did he possess the same intensity James and Turner have.

Martin was as soft as medicated cotton...With James playing in the SEC I doubt he is the same...Turner already has an edge...They key for camp will be Starks...if Starks swings on Turner in practice...Turner is doing just fine...

we drafted 2 talented, normal human beings for the OL. love it!!!!!!!!

This kid is endearing. There's not much not to like about him.

If he can win a starting job -and he's certainly got the smarts and (unlike another allegedly "smart" OL we drafted a few years ago), the common sense, mental toughness and inner-fortitude to succeed (can anyone say "Zach Thomas?"), no doubt in my mind he's gonna be an able spokesman for the franchise and media star with plenty of local endorsements like Auto Nation.

Based on what I've seen its really hard to not like Mr.Turner. Hopefully he has a long and prosperous playing career with the Miami Dolphins...

i love the talent and the attitude but i gotta say i don't like hearing a college left tackle who gave up zero sacks in 2013 say he does not want to play tackle he wants to play guard as a pro.....the height at just under 6 ft 5 isn't ideal at tackle but it's not a deal breaker either and with those movement skills he should want to play in as much space as possible...he's in for a real eye opener when he faces nfl level talent strength and power on the inside...

hope he packs his big boy pants...cross train this kid all day long...who knows he may prove he can handle some swing tackle in a pinch as well and save you a roster spot

Love this! I'm really pulling for the dude! And he's a mn boy!

Again, this kid is easy to root for and seems to possess the requisite physical and mental tools to be successful. I just hope there's no residual bad juju connected to this:
Turner was the highest selected North Dakota State player since Lamar Gordon in 2002.
