Blame Someone, Blame the Dolphins

Maybe the Phins could lower the guaranteed money in the contract but also make the contract shorter. Less money at risk for the Phins if Ronnie isnt as good as projected....shorter length of time for Ronnie to wait for free agency and the big bucks if he is as good as projected. Both sides win.

I dont know but can somebody tell me what is 3 million dollars worth when you have 19 million dollar deal on the table and youve been broke all your life. Hes never seen that kind of money before. He thinks that hes gonna bring the dynasty back to Miami. Cmon Ronnie stop being a buttock and sign the darn paper

Ronnie needs the money beside he is in depth to his agent for the range rover because the range cost him 19 mil and he needs 3mil for himself that is the real reason he's not at camp :shakeno:

I am sick and tired now of blaming the agent of Ronnie Brown. Historically the second pick in the draft GETS a certain percentage of guarenteed money than the first pick. Historically this has been the case. The amount of money goes up with every year as well. These things don't change. This year the amount of Ronnie Browns guarenteed money falls around 21 million. The Dolphins are offering 19. Come on. Just pay the guy for the love of GOD. He is not going to accept less. This isn't free agent negotiating. If you wanted to give him 19 mill. than you should have traded down with CLE or CHI. Since you didn't pay the guy and lets start the Dolphin Dynasty.

Blame Brown...it is ENTIRELY of his doings...HE can decide to sign or not sign, not his agent, not the Fins..the Fins want the right value for the money they'll spend. Smith was a QB and rightfully (at least in the guise of the NFL today) should get a higher percentage of increase over Brown or Edwards...The Fins are in the right as much as Brown or his agent are in the right on this thing...They are just trying to get the best deal for Brown and themselves. I think, based on the lastest article about Brown, that he is letting his agent do too much and not staying involved in the negotiations as he should, but that is based on that last article written and may or may not be the whole truth...Besides, they are just waiting for Edwards or Benson to sign...once they sign, Brown will be in shortly thereafter...France doesn't want to lose face with Brown, as he is new in the business and needs the image he'll gain by getting Brown a better deal..if he is shown up by Edwards getting a better deal, then he'll lose potential guys down the road...This is all business..have patients and lets not throw blame just yet...

I like the fact that the Dolphins are holding firm in their negotiations. Every dollar that we save here will be that much more we have to improve the rest of the team. Just giving him the money and overpaying only because San Fransico did does not make any sense.

While I certainly hope they come to terms soon I am glad that to this point the Dolphins are holding their ground. To pay what he wants in guaranteed money just to get him into camp is ludicrous.
