Bobby Wagner or Jordan Hicks for a FA signing?

Would not count towards compensation draft picks either
No but that won’t matter anyway because we're going to get enough high price guys in free agency and we're only losing Ogbah so we won’t be getting any comp picks.

Dude is only 31 years old, made all pro last year..
But the fact is, his team that sees him all the time cut him. There’s a reason why. These awards often follow players past their prime because of reputation. I thought he was already looking less of an impact player before last season. I watched him play last year a few times and didn’t see any real impact plays you used to see from him. He may not be washed up but this is not an all pro player anymore.

Seattle is going through a rebuild. Did some miss the Wilson trade?

The reason why they cut him can be as simple as freeing up cap space for a team that is going through a possibly long rebuild with no QB.

They got a boatload of picks. The trade market probably wasn’t there for a 32lb on the last year of his deal/team did him a favor allowing to go where he wants to go.

Sure, this isn’t the same player from the mid 2010s but he still has enough in the tank for the next few years.

but they got luck!

ok guys, lets see how much he wants though ......it's not that simple. Great player but lets see what his price is first.
Exactly. Also at his age he will likely be looking to sign with a team that is a legitimate SB contender next year and unfortunately that’s not the Dolphins.

Tough call on this one. The book on older linebackers isn't strong. Yes, he's been a star for a long time, but that's part of the problem... he's 32 this year and the 'hawks cut him because his contract was MUCH too high at about 20m/year.

At half that, and on a one year contract, he'd be attractive to a team on the cusp of a Super Bowl. I suspect he fits better elsewhere than Miami.
excellent point😢

Danny it's not done yet… We can at least hope

If he's not looking for a big long term deal, I can see him going to a team that can win now ala Cinci, Chargers, Broncos.

Hmmm

Another importantant position of need for our team miraculously falling into our play. A muliti Pro Bowler all pro MLB. Ya 31 and potential for lost step. But that lost step our LB corp. has never even seen. Oh ya and he supposedly hasn't missed a game since 2016...
170 combined tackles last year, The most in his career

Ya to bad he's not 25 but there must be some kind of catch for him to become available.
IMO still in the top shelf dept. of LB'rs and with our need there and the added understanding that signing him shouldn't decrease other top upgrade importance FA needs (#1) a OL, and WR, IMO makes Wagner a strong target to go after. Good risk if contract within reason...
