Boone please!!!

Oh ok. Well tat begs the question then. If the Niners don't want to give him a new contract what makes you guys think we can afford him?

Niners have a team policy that they won't negotiate a contract until after somebody reports to the team...he hasn't.

Aside from that, he's a good run blocker, but crap in pass pro and penalties. Shelley Smith grades higher in all areas.

McCoy is better than any DT in our division, easily. I need to see more of Thomas before I render judgement, but I do share your concern.

Yes but buf, ne and jets know us much more than Tampa, so that theory kinda nets itself out.

Trade for the man and sure up this oline. If the #1 goal is to protect Tannehill then make the trade and pay the man! Problem solved :)

Only solved if Boone is a zone blocker type. Not sure he fits. I wouldn't say trade for sake of how well he played in SF. Got to know how he fits.

highly unlikely. so they wouldnt pay for boone but would take on Wallace money? uh uh.

Do the 49ers need receivers? Maybe move Hartline for Boone if the 9ers could use a receiver. The question is whether the 9ers are actually amenable to moving Boone. Just keep your draft picks.

Naaa... Don't need him for that cost.

no way i would spend a draft pick and the money to get him, yeah dallas thomas sucked tonight, but he also went against a top 3 DT in this game
news flash: talented players cost money and are most likely drafted. if he is young, durable and doesn't punch his significant other then why not?

Matt Maiocco of CSN Bay Area reports that there is no indication that the 49ers and G Alex Boone are close to an agreement.
Sources tell Maiocco that if the 49ers had in fact offered Boone a top-12 salary, which was previously reported, he would have shown up to training ago long ago.
San Francisco is reportedly offering Boone an extension, which would add a few years to his current deal, rather than a new contract. Maiocco seems to think that this could be issue between the two sides.
Ian Rapoport mentions that the 49ers isn’t quite there in regards to a top-12 salary, which would be around $5.3 million.

49ers are in serious need of a #2 QB. Would you be willing to trade Matt Moore and maybe a low round pick for Boone?

Im not buying the excuse that McCoy is one of the best and therefore Dallas Thomas gets a pass...Thomas has been struggling since last year. He's a waste of reps and we are 3 weeks away from the opener. With that being said, Im not so sure Boone is the answer at this point either.

Saw on Twitter that Boone is on the block for a conditional 3rd. Not sure if that is actually true, but I may consider that if I were the Dolphins. We have the cap space to do it and he would make this line sooooo much better. The 9ers offense has been horrible. Maybe we could give them Binns or Damian Williams and a 4th. Both are on the bubble and at least 1 will not make this team. Both are better than most of their receivers. They have Crabtree and Boldin, but not much of anything else.
