I was hoping for a Nails-like transformation from Big Earth too.

There was one camera shot during the Jags game, that showed Jarvis and Yates from behind as they approached the LOS side by side prior to a play. Man.....Yates looked like a little kid next to Jarvis. It was like Ward Cleaver and the Beaver at a father-son game or something.

I wonder if we'd consider salting him away on IR until next season?
More likely, I'd guess we'll reach an injury settlement with him.
 
Actually, John Elway tore his bicep during preseason one year (in his throwing arm, no less) and came back to play in the opener. And it required surgery, too.
 
This is a torn tricep not bicep, which I think is a little less serious.
 
Leon Searcy was a tricep then injury settlement at this time last year.
