Boston > Chambers

In terms of PURE talent Boston is the guy. Chamber though, IMO is the most comlete reciever we have on this team. He has everything Good speed, great hands(even though he dropped that one tonight), and great leaping ability. Also as was seen in the Jax game he will go across the middle and make the tough catch.

Most complete? That's debateable...........IMO Chamber is borderline one-dimensional because of his route running. He's great when you put the ball up there for him to go get, but mechanically he's just an average reciever relying more on physical skill skill........

RU SERIOUS
Boston has done all his damage against 1st and 2nd team D's Do you even watch the Dolphins. Boston has been our best reciever this offseason PERIOD!
in what regard? yards? Maurice Mann leads that column. receptions? again, Maurice Mann.

Boston has less yards than Chris Chambers, BTW. and this is talking about the offseason here.

I am not denying Boston has been impressive, but the best receiver? come on guys...

sure, here you go.

that good enough for you smart guy? Boston has to prove himself in the regular season versus first string defenses before we can go making such outrageous claims.

Here.......I'll do you one better........

............... I am loving the effort out of that man David Boston. Call me crazy, but you can't help but think if he stays healthy, he could put up better numbers than Chambers. He runs his routes ten times better and is just simply physically unstoppable.

Oh and I already have seen David Boston tear up first stringers. He's done it his whole career when on the field........and he has indeed lined up with first string defensive units this preseason - most specifically this game against TB. Thanks for playing though!

i agree, he could put up more. but will he? i doubt it.

Boston's catches have all been quick 5-yard outs. Chamber's catches have all been long-field plays. To compare their route-running right now is comparing apples to oranges.

I want Boston to succeed, but lets temper our excitement for when it means something.

Right he might not be the greatest route runner, I'd say Booker is, but as I said Chambers IMO is the complete guy. You could also say the same thing of Moss(not comparing skills though) Moss isn't in the top 10 in the league of route running but his overall skills cast aside that fact.

I know what I see. It's been the same thing year in and year out with Chambers, he's d*mn fast, has freakishly long arms and a freakish vertical, but he's only at his best when you let him run and put the ball up there for him. Boston's route running, mechanically speaking, is more sound. He can handle the slot.........gets in and out of his breaks smoother.......can turn that 5 yard quick out into 30 yards and has the speed to kill you deep.

It's not like I'm getting excited for Maurice Mann for cryin' out loud.......this is David Boston we're talking about.

I can't believe people are doubting Boston's skills!! LMAO

Try to look past his troubles and look to the future!

maybe you should.... Mann has put up more yards and catches with the same offense.

I'd also say Randy Moss is smarter reciever on the field and if anything appears to have ten times more fire in his belly. Chambers is too low-key for my taste.

Let's try this:

Booker > the other receivers.

He's the guy without the serious injuries who has been to the Pro Bowl.

QED

boston is better than booker. he's not injured now. thatz all that matters. the best guy should be starting and thatz boston.

wow.

well, JJ, how can you argue with that. pretty definitive right there...

Oh c'mon .........you're exaggerating the truth here........... If D-Bo were put in the game during 3rd and 4th string scrub fest periods, he'd be a man among boys. Boston's typically played in the 2nd and 3rd quarters of the preseason, yet appeared in the 1st quarter of this game against TB.

Are you even listening to the radio shows or watching the broadcasts?? The announcers can't stop talking about how good Boston looks. He's our ace in the hole this year.

I'd agree a bit. I like my recievers to have a little attitude, but Chambers has made up for it IMO with the catches he has pulled off in his career.

My argument in these cases comes down to two words, and the words are alternatively "depth chart" or "Nick Saban". They mean the same thing.
