Boston: knee soreness

If that's true, that is definitely a setback. You can spin it how you want, but it puts a chink in the armor of the vision everyone has of David Boston making a glorious return to the talent of his 1600 yard receiving days.
Why, just because his knee is sore? Whoever said he was going to get 1600 yards anyways? With three quality WRs and McMichael, there might not be 1000 yards put up by anybody.

MRI!!!!!! Check it out. Have a specialist evaluate the knee. Better safe than sorry.

See people, the Dolphins team Physician says we have nothing to worry about.

I'm not sayin this is very significant or anything, it could just be a one day thing, but I'm not sayin its insignificant either. The best indication of what will happen in the future is what is happening now and in the past. If a little preseason action causes soreness in the knee and he needs to miss practice, he'll probably be battling that all season.
And i suppose you have real knowledge of the medical proceedure that was done? It is real easy to predict that a player who has been injured will get injured again. What we would all like is some kind of an intelligent insight on this situation. If all you've have to offer are negative un-informed comments please just keep them to yourself. Thanks JT.

Whoa dude..switch to decaf!!!

He was one of those "know it all's" who was against us resigning DB..and now he's thriving to make himself feel better for being wrong about it....sad excuse for a PHINFAN!!

It seems like a lot of you guys are overreacting. We are in the middle of training camp, coming off our second preseason game and Boston is taking a day off for a sore knee. His knee is sore, there's no injury or anything. During the regular season practice will not be as tough and shouldn't affect him too much. This is to be expected IMO.

I tore my ACL as a junior in high school and came back in 6 months. I can tell you that there were days even after a year and a half when it was just sore and I had to take a day off.

Maybe he's the doctor who performed the operation and in his spare time he documents the history of recurring sports injuries. Who's uninformed now?

Oh yeah.. and calm down.

I have had 3 Knee surgery's ove the the last 4 years 2 scopes and one reconstruct with a bone graft. I am medically fine now but I still have soreness. When i am walking on the golf course or just due to the weather. Anytime you have and invasive surgery you develop small amounts of arthritis in that area. Unless an MRI says otherwise I am treating it as soreness and a day off to rest. Same with Boston i would imagine. BUT I am not the team doctor just someone with a knowledge of knee problems.

every player gets hurt sometimes, the only reason this is scary is because of last year. But I don't think this is much to worry about. At least they aren't working him with a sore knee.

Many thanks to the two posters with knee injury experience. That makes me feel much better. I personally have no frame of reference, as I cannot feel my knees.

I have had back problems and when you use it alot you will be sore you just have to rest and then use it again it will continue to get stronger just give him some time.

I had both of my knees hurt in Highschool Ball and unfortunately never had any surgery for them. However, I am still playing sports and I am confident in them. They do become sore but nothing a day or two rest couldn't handle. I am sure that Boston will be fine come game day when it really counts. Seeing that he is a beast and alot healthier then me.
