Boston or Thompson

I think it's time for the gloves to come off here.

Both Boston and Booker have been Pro Bowlers. Chambers has not.

Both Boston and Booker have been over the magic 1000 yard mark. Chambers has not.

I really don't buy that Boston is ever going to be anything other than a shadow of his former self, but if he does return to that form, why on Earth wouldn't he be #1 with Booker as #2 and Chambers headed out to the slot?

If it is no insult to Booker to suggest something like that, it certainly shouldn't be an insult to Chambers to put it that way, right?

Don't blame Chambers #'s on him but the previous regime crappy system.

AGREED! Chambers has great hands and speed.... but NOTHING ELSE. His route running sucks, and because of that he will never be a true #1 receiver. He will always be a threat for a deep ball, and is DEFINITELY a threat in the end zone. But, because he can't consistently get seperation underneath to make those critical first down grabs that keep the chains moving, he will never be the primary receiver that a QB can go to play after play, and take over games the way elite WR's need to be able to. Boston/Booker and even perhaps even McMichael have the skills necessary to do that... Chambers just hasn't shown it.

Thompson is frustrating to me. He misses a perfect pass like the one from Feeley last night, but then he catches the game winner against the Pats last season. Lots of talent, but lacking consistency. If David Boston can continue to progress and improve upon his performance last night, he will definitely start ahead of Thompson and potentially even Booker.

Derius thompson missed that Wide Open catch....
Question is this who will win the 3rd spot

I wish they would release Derius Thompson, I have seen him drop enoght passes and shut down enough drives. He is below average.

Exactly.....that's what I've been saying all along. In the best interest of the team, the top 2 start. The odd man out becomes one hell of a #3 WR. We've probably got the best WR depth since the Skins in the late 80's.

I think boston will win the third spot he has been working probly the hardest and he will do what it takes to get it done, he sat out all last year and is ready to get out there and show his stuff to us. im pulling for botston.

Boston easily over DT for the 3rd WR spot...he`s going to push CC and Booker, but he probably won`t actually be a starter. Doesn`t really matter in this offense though, because the 3rd wideout is going to see plenty of action. Thompson better start worrying if he can beat out Gilmore for the 4th spot.

well he was getting open for a lot of short passes last year, but thast was the problem because Feeley, had a sec to throw the ball and it would be a five yard pass to Chambers and chambers would get tackled by two guys. How about we wait until the regular season starts, with these theories. Chambers does have elite talent, I hope you're not basing this on a preseason game, the first on eanyway. He made nice catch between two defenders, he route running has improved over the years, I think he will be fine.

Derrious better pick it up, because he might not have the no.4 spot, which could go to Gilmore, who played well.

David Boston looks like he is regaining form

I think he should start opposite Chambers with Booker in the slot

I dont think there was ever any real doubt that Boston would win the 3rd spot ...as long as he stays healthy...that's the key...if he can he easily beats out 'Hands Of Stone' 'Training Camp All-pro' Derrius Thompson.
