Haven't been to a Dolphins game in Miami since my Dad took me to the Patriots game in 1974, my senior year of H.S. The Dolphins were down 24-zip in that game and came back to win 34-27. Now my brother in law and I are taking our sons for a golf/football weekend. Home opener vs. the Patriots on Sept 7.
I need help with 3 questions. 1) Since the game is in September and we are all lifelong Bostonians, the heat is a big concern. My question is, do all seats
in the 200 level (club seats) give you access to the lounges and the ability to get out of the sun? If so, what would be a reasonable price to pay for 4 tickets? 2) We are staying at the Courtyard Marriott in South Beach (our sons insisted and we didn't argue). We are looking to golf on Sat the 6th (we land at 10:30am) and Monday the 8th (we depart at 3:45). We are flying in and out of Fort Lauderdale. Any suggestions for any nice courses between the Airport and South Beach? 3) on game day, what is the best way to get to the game ? Should we take a taxi, public transportation or is there any kind of business that takes you there and also provides some sort of pre game tail gate?
Any and all assistance will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Mercury (Morris) Man (He was my favorite Dolphin when I was a kid.)

Sounds like a great trip and hope they destroy the Pats in the opener. I'm sure you'll get some great advice here but I've only been to that stadium twice unfortunately so other than well wishes, I'm of no use. Good luck

MercuryMan, good luck in getting any responses to your questions. I asked the same things when the schedule came out in April for the Ravens game in December. Not a peep. I don't think the finheaven fans want to respond because if they give you a bad suggestion, they will be ripped to shreds by others.

If you do find a good place to play golf and if the hotel is good, please let me know so I can set up a reservation for my son and I.

The club seats will give you access to the lounges and give you cover from the sun. You can google the ticket prices etc but whatever they are dont cheap out you will melt in September heat. Cant help with the golf courses. Plenty of ways to get to stadium.

If you can somehow get Duffy's seats its an awesome experience we did that last year for all games and it gives you access to the club level as well. All the food and beer is included with the Duffy's seats.

You are being a little unfair, there were people who responded to questions last year.

This course is about 15 minutes from S.Beach and where the Fins are playing their annual tournament next weekend.

A little expensive but it's a nice course.

A cheaper option would be The Crandon Key Biscayne golf course about 40 minutes away. It's next to the bay and is a great public course.

Have a blast :brewskis:

ok, so there were answers "last year". I wanted to come down last year but the weather in Maryland was still nice enough to stay up here for the game. This year the game is in December so it will be cold in Maryland and I want to bring my son down with me (who is a Ravens Fan). I haven't received any information on a place to stay or seats for a 17 year old Raven fan and a his Dolphin Fan father.

I will send you a PM with some info. Btw last year almost the entire visitor side of the stadium was purple. Made me a little ill actually!

All club seats have access to the air conditioned concourse, bars and food courts. You can actually walk around.
The North side (visitor side) as well as the East side will have sun throughout a 1 pm game. The South side (home side) and West side will be in the shade. If you are an endzone fanatic then be aware that the West Endzone in the middle of the 200 block is part of the Club Liv experience and it is differently categorized than the section next to it. Club Liv sections include most of 255 and most of 201 and section 256.

The Club level will be quite pricey for this game. I think you might have a chance getting 4 tickets together on the North side. Last time I checked there were a few available. Otherwise you may have to go through the ticket exchange and that can get pricey.
Unfortunately I can't go to the game. I made business plans prior to the schedule. I have two club primes (241) and two upper level primes (441). A friend of mine who is a Pats fan offered me $900 per club seat ($600 face value). I said no. No way I will sell them to a Pats fan. I rather let them go unused.

I am not a golf fan so my knowledge is limited on golf courses but I do know a couple of people and will ask them about good courses between FLL and South Beach.
Are you talking about the Cadillac Miami Beach Hotel (which is a Marriott Courtyard)?
Best way to the stadium is going north on Collins Avenue to I 195 (be careful the turn 112/I 195 is just north of your hotel) and go east to I 95. Go North on I 95 to the Glades Interchange/Miami Gardens and take the exit Turnpike/826 West. Stay in the left lane. After the toll plaza it will be your first exit. Can't miss it. You will have a nice view of the stadium from the Turnpike.
I wouldn't take a cab. You pay through the nose especially after the game.

My brother in law lives in Medfield so we are flying out of T.F. Green in Providence via Southwest. Of the four of us traveling, I'm the only Fins fan. I would love the Fins to shut them up.

Thank you FFM, that club was on our possible list. Now it is the course we are going to play the Saturday before the game.

Driving ourselves is not an option because not drinking is also not an option. Thank you for the tips. As far as the hotel, all it said on Expedia was Courtyard Marriott South Beach.

The club level does indeed give you access to the air conditioned corridor so you'll be fine. That's a good call since you got the kids with you. If you're going to golf you NEED to do Doral Golf Course. That's where the pros play and one if the better courses down here. It's kind of a drive from south beach to the stadium though. Should have chosen something closer. Any other questions just PM me.

I watched the week 17 game last year vs the jets from club liv, what a experience that was
