Both coordinators need to go

I feel bad for Coyle. I mean its hard to not give up points when you are constantly on the field because the offense was inept. They gave up 13 points for 3 quarters. That is plenty of D for a team to win games.

I agree.

But I'll take our old LBs with this secondary that forces turnovers every game.

We gave up only 19 points because they chewed clock on the ground and exposed our lack of a rush defense. An opposing team doesn't have to score 35 points when you control the clock the way they did. We are terrible, defensively, on third downs (offensively as well). I haven't looked at the 3rd down defense rankings, but I'd be willing to bet some major $$$ that we are at the lower end of the spectrum. We got outplayed by an offense that is pretty bad and was worse because they lost two more receivers even after SJ was ruled out. Sad that we couldn't stop the run despite their lack of threat of a REAL passing game. That is as much or MORE about scheme and lack of adjustments as it is about personnel. Horrible and embarrassing.

Not false. The only improvement from Coyle has come from our secondary. That is what he excels at. Outside of our secondary, we have gotten noticeable worse. No question about it and we have talent all over the place on defense. Not a big fan of Ellerbe or Wheeler. But scheme has a lot to do with it. And, as I also noted, adjustments which are NOT being made.
 
No, just sherman. You can only do so much with the players that stupid fuking loserville ireland brings in. Our defensive coordinator is fine
 
the one play that showed coyles lack of knowledge was when he had jimmy Wilson blitzing from the nickel, thad lewis did a check read, fake snap. Wilson jumped the gun and thad noticed it, and audibled. the D should audible their audible, but they didn't and thad threw it to who Wilson was covering. first down.
 
Sorry to break it to you guys but Sherman isn't going anywhere unless Ross forces the issue. He and Philbin will sink or swim together

If the O does anything today the D was good enough. With only acquiring 100 yards we still only gave up 19, you should win if you give up 19.
