BPA My Arse, it's like Ireland all over again.

I have been a die hard Dolphins fan since I was in the 6th grade and I'm 49 now, and I am seriously thinking about moving on.

I am so tired of this year in and year out. This guy could have been had in the 2nd round easily if not the 3rd. He was projected as a 3rd or 4th round pick but had a good work out and got moved up to a late 2nd or 3rd.

There is no way he was the BPA by a long shot, let alone even at his position. I'm so tired of paying way to much for players, giving up way to much for players and getting rid of them at bargain rates.

Drafting nothing but linemen, LB's and DB's and passing on players that put the points on the scoreboard.

Unless we make a move to get up on the board tomorrow and get us a WR I think I may be packing up all my Dolphin gear and pick a team that is actually exciting to watch and root for. That wants to create an exciting team for their fans to watch and be proud of.

NO...please don't leave....stay (SARCASM).

Just what we DON"T need.....another so called "fan" who cuts & runs when the going gets tough.....something tells me that when the Fins eventually get back in contention again you'll claim that they were always your favorite team and you're happy you stayed Dolphins fan.

You also have absolutely no clue regarding the needs of this team.

In reality, the Dolphins had ONLY three options and they all involved taking an O Lineman....their choices were 1. Move up for Z. Martin, 2. Stay put at #19 and pick there or 3. Trade the pick and move down and get an O Lineman (probably J. James there anyway) there & picking up another pick.

I, along with many other KNOWLEDGEABLE fans thought option 1 OR 3 would have been best but of course the Fins went with #2, using it to fill the spot desperately needed but a little too high and "unsexy".

With all the crap that happened with the O Line last year and it's current mediocre condition there was NO other choice except O Line in this draft....In fact they should stick with O Line in the 2nd taking a guard (even moving up if possible to take Bitonio or S'ua-Filo). It all starts with the O Line and getting RT protection not the lowest league avg. protection time in the pocket he had last year).....which opens everything else up.

So....if you can't continue to support team then SEE YA!.....pack your sh*t and GTFO!

I have read and seen a lot of bickering but other than the Manziel love children I have yet to see anyone have a consensus player we should have selected at 19 other than trade back. I didn't see any other teams reaching for a Guard in the 1st round so the XSF believers have no leg to stand on, he might be around at 50.

In my opinion James was the BPA on the Dolphins board. We have known he had a first round grade all along from us and likely from other teams. The obvious impact selections didn't fall like we all hoped. Shazier and Mosley were obviously on our radar but those damn AFC North teams ruined those plans. Fill the need with the 1st round natural talent RT and move on.

I would have drafted Dennard or Nix at 19. That would have been good value.

No leg to stand on? My belief is to fix the offensive line. Taking LB, CB, S or WR were not the need that you and many others were pushing prior to the draft.

Hickey knows he is working on a one year proposition if he doesn't fix the line. That is the point of this pick. And why its understandable. Now if MIA can move up to grab XSF in the 2nd...my whole point will be made valid. Hickey and company understood the problem in MIA, and addressed. You and many others didn't understand that thinking prior to the draft.

And what would your value do for Tannehill?

58. The most sacks for a NFL team since 2007.

They could have addressed the offensive line in the 2nd round. The draft is about getting value at the right spot. For too long, the Dolphins have reached for need over BPA and they have paid the price for it.

The draft is about getting players that help your team, period. Getting value is secondary. We have no idea at this point, if our pick is a value pick or not. And what we got is, OUR bpa at a position of need. GREAT need. No other position on our team is in a dire a state as our oline.

Brandin Cooks was the pick...or trade down..period.

Obviously not.

Don't wait for the 2nd pick. Pick another team now. We should all take a vote. Revoke your Dolphins card now. There is no room for half in or half out fans. You are either loyal or not and you are not. Please do us a favor and find your next team. Post over there.

You just don't get it. And that is ok. Because those with their jobs on the line, do get it.

Obviously not.

So then your idea of drafting would be to draft for need over BPA? I am sorry but once Zack Martin was gone, there wasn't an offensive lineman left worth taking in the first round. I want studs regardless of what position they play over reaching for guy at a position we need if that player isn't going to be worth where he was drafted. Period!

If I had to take a Tackle it would have been Moses. Me personally I would have moved up and got Watkins, or Evans. If I did not move up I would have taken Cooks, Robinson, or Benjamin. If taking BPA it would have been a lot of other players that would be to many to list.

:lol2:

I liked Moses too but his former coach (our OC) didn't like him at all. I think he might know better.

Your next best option is to trade away all of next years picks for a very talented WR that will be standing in the end zone while his QB is flat on his back or stay and take a WR that would be doing the same.

Now seriously, you can say that this is just like what Ireland would have done but its because of Irelands incompetence that Hickey and staff are forced to deal with replacing 4/5ths of the OL. While I am not thrilled with it, Hickey is methodically taking steps to fix the problem. Deal with it and while you are, brace yourself for more of the same tonight when he takes a Guard or two while passing on those sexy men you are pining away for.

Ya like Ireland got it? Just because someone is a GM doesn't make that person a good GM. You got rose colored glasses on.

Stop complaining that our pick was a reach. Eric Kumerow will be a fine player.

No but, what if we had a QB rated as the BPA, should we have taken him? BPA isn't always the best option. We have one GLARING need and we filled it with a player that will come in and start from day 1, at the position of glaring need. Do you know if James is a stud or not? Do you know if he isn't a stud at a position of need? How do you know he isn't worth where he was drafted? You don't, so don't answer.

LOL. I'm far from being the homer here. But I understand MIA's problems and have always believed you build your team from the inside out.

Also, Ireland for as bad as you make him out to be. Was not unemployed for long. He was working last night in the defending Super Bowl Champions war room, as a draft consultant.
And Hickey was hired to do a job, and that job was to fix the oline. It is that simple. And guess what...look for more of the same tonight. Why? Because this team still needs more oline help. Its not rocket science.
