Brad Allen's Officiating Crew Suspended

Players is one thing, but refs selling out hits the entire sport. Look how big that NBA case was.
Seriously
You think a guy betting on games etc gives a **** about that.

Look how much these guys get paid vs the stars they are around. Would not surprise me at all to find one or more getting in on the action.

Is there a ref out there who is betting on the NFL?

Probably... there will always be a Pete Rose.

The fact that he would receive an instant lifetime ban means that 1) he's stupid and 2) he's REALLY stupid to risk a comfortable income for any hard to hide winnings.

Exactly.

I mean for players like Ridley, he was betting on his team to win I think. So it's really hard to fault him there lol.

But like the NBA, every single one of those Kings/Lakers matchups come into question. If you watched them like I did, it was CLEAR AND OBVIOUS back then. Then you find out 1 of those series was exactly who the ref admitted to.

It won't surprise me if 10-15 years from now something will come out documenting the official rigging, or altering of games by a ref or 2. Of course, nothing will change or be done, it's too late. But we'll see it and say "Well duh"
Lol

I agree.

As long as the ref is sticking with the teams the NFL advised them to assist it's ok.

Lol, see what I did there? Mwahahah

Heh!

Yes, you have ironically made fools of those dumb enough to believe.

Well done.

See, now you are getting me started here bro. Go down the rabbit hole with me.

There are so many cameras and angles. Being a Dolphins fan, we should know. They are able to get the perfect angle and camera to see what color Ramseys cup is.

But, when we need to see if a Chiefs players 2nd foot came down on the white line or grass.... all of a sudden the only angles available are the inconclusive ones. I mean what happened to the overhead camera that could zoom in. Was it suddenly inoperable for that play?

Had thar been Kelce fumbling the ball, not Hill, there would have magically been a camera angle showing you Kelces nose hairs that would have been able to clearly show that was not even a catch
Obviously not every play can be overturned but the blatant ones can. Not buying anything the league says because they have the ability to fix it.

Correct.

PI is a tricky one though. I mean, in theory any contact thar hinders the WRS ability to catch the ball while it's in the air is PI. I Mean if the defender is stride for stride, his hand hits the WRS arm or hand, that's PI in reality per the rule. It's not just holding or preventing the catch. But they have the whole incidental contact and the defender has the right to play the ball. That 1 rule has so many "buts" or "ifs" that makes that rule so difficult to judge because each refs tolerance level or interpretation is diferrent

It's kind of like holding. If you called it to the letter of the rule, you could probably call PI on every play IMO.

Yeah catch 22 that last bit.

But I hate subjective **** in sports....like boxing scoring or women's figure skating judging.

You guys watch women's figure skating too right?

Yep…and the whole argument “calling a lot of penalties is bad for a game’…drives me nuts. A team breaking the rules and repeatedly getting away with it is much worse IMO. Decide to follow the rules to the letter, call games accordingly, and the teams will adjust. They always do.

Watch it in the Olympics and enjoy it…wifey was a cheerleader and gymnast so we tend to watch the traditional ladies’ sports, mainly in the Olympics.

Now…men’s figure-skating? Pass.

Well Ive been duped! WTF

Mods, can we delete this whole thread...
I say we leave it up considering you gave me all kinds of **** for telling you that what you posted wasn't true and you threw a hissy fit. Leave the evidence here.
