Its obvious enig has a grudge against ricky that he has a double standard with him and Boston.
I just think we need a back up plan with Boston, both for his health, and for his other troubles.enigmatics said:First off, Boston will not crack..........his problem has nothing to do with his psyche. Well, at least not from a bailing out on the team to find higher meaning standpoint, but we all know he's previously had an obsession with his body. So you're not going to find David Boston in a position like Ricky was in. The concern with Boston is strictly a health thing.

I am not not arguing with you. I was making a crack on who would fall first, as a joke. David has all the tools to be a great receiver, I just hope he can stay healthy, and he can have a good head on his shoulders to put all together on the field. He has had one great year with the Cardinals at that's it. I hope that he uses this year to break through.enigmatics said:First off, what are our concerns with his mental health? What in his tenure with our football team would lead you to that? He did everything he was told while he was with us from the moment he signed on to the point he got injured. He trimmed his weight, reported to all weight lifting sessions. His scuffle with another man in an airport is his own business. None of us know what ocurred with that incident so none of us are free to comment on it.
As far as his past transgressions go, I could really care less. His experience on those other ball clubs were COMPLETELY different. With the Cardinals he was thrust onto the scene as one of the leagues premier WR's and obviously the immaturity factor played out in how he handled himself off the field. In San Diego, he was with a loser organization, basically set himself up to fail - especially given the fact that he was still obsessed with his weight lifting routine.
I've read nothing about the man since he's been with us to cause me to be concerned. Prior to him having arrived with us, I was concerned. But again, since his arrival he has yet to give me anything to be concerned about except for his health. Last year was a slightly complicated year in terms of his health. He was being asked to drop massive amounts of muscle weight in a short period of time in order to meet the desired playing weight of the coaching staff, which can be hazardous. Along those lines Wanny ignored his tendinitis situation and next thing you know the man is out for the year.
Again, read up on CURRENT EVENTS and I do stress CURRENT. David Boston isn't a player you're worried about walking away from football right now. Need I go post that article Finheaven had on it's main page almost a month ago about Boston's dedication to this season and how his newborn daughter has changed his perspective? That's more than I can say for Ricky.........he's yet to comment. If Boston were to quit on football wouldn't he have done that by now, with all the crap he's gotten for his body building, his run of injuries, and eccentricness????? The answer is obvious. Boston is not bi-polar...........Boston was just an immature POS when he became famous basically over night. However, now it's a completely different story..........Boston's not coming off a monster 1,600 yard seasons smashing DB's and running over safeties. Boston's coming off a season ending injury and as he said in his interview, his perspective on things are entirely different than his days as a Cardinal or a Charger.
Ohhhh hahah and before I forget, the argument clincher - "Well coach Saban believes in him and that's all that matters" hahahaah sound familiar to some of ya? :rofl3:
How come David din't get signed by any other teams when he was let go?enigmatics said:Boston Ready To Silence Critics ...

[Sun Sentinel] Dolphins receiver David Boston was wearing a red jersey at minicamp Friday, signifying hands off to the defense. However, the organization didn't apply a hands-off approach to Boston when it re-signed the receiver after a season that included two knee surgeries, an arrest and a four-game suspension.
"I want a fresh start," Boston said in his first interview since re-upping with the Dolphins on May 18. "I want to come out here and compete every day and help the team out any way I can, and that's where my mindset is.
"That's the most important thing going on right now in my head when I come to the Dolphins' facility," added Boston. "Also, I just had a daughter (Alaia) five weeks ago and my life has changed a lot. I'm just ready to go out there and get better."
Boston chose to return to the Dolphins after coach Nick Saban cut him March 7 due to a failed physical, not out of a sense of debt for a wasted season but more for the promise of a wide-open passing attack under new offensive coordinator Scott Linehan.
"It's a great system," Boston said. "Coach Linehan on the offensive side of the ball has done a great job of installing the offense and everybody seems to be picking up on it well."
The coaching and medical staffs are bringing Boston along slowly as he has developed shin splints. Still, Boston lined up and caught a few passes Friday during downpours from Tropical Storm Arlene.

Ricky is a case study that should be in psychiatry books, IMO.
