Breer: Dolphins plan to add Manning AND Tannehill

i don't trust manning's heath one bit. and tannehill is raw.

Lou, don't forget Jeff Saturday may come with him sliding Pouncey to guard. There are several viable options at RT that can be addressed in free agency.

Are we certain we can trust Jeff Saturday? He's up there in age.

There's more than 4 teams who need a QB. Someone will draft him if he makes it past #8. No one cares about overdrafting a player if he turns out to be a stud, especially@QB. OL can be had later. Other teams find a way to do it all the time. Long term success at QB is priority #1.

Teams that NEED a QB either via draft or FA: Washington, Miami, Cleveland, Seattle

Teams that would like a FA QB to compete (not drafting a QB high): Jets, KC, Denver

Tennahill needs work, if a team is expecting him to start this coming season then they have a reciepe for disaster.

Has anyone thought that we might take say Ingram at 8 and then move back into end of round 1? There is more than one way to skin a rat. Ireland has a plan he keeps saying. gotta think outside the box every once in a while.

I'm very excited that the team looks like it's finally willing to address the QB position as aggressively as it needs to be pursued.

If we get Manning then we better not take Tannehill at 8....I'd trade down twice if posible and then maybe take him in the late 20's or even the 2nd round.

Ozzy rules!!

IMO we'll have to bite the bullet and overdraft him@8 if we expect to get him. QBs get overdrafted all the time.

There's no need to look further than last year's draft, but....

Dirty Sanchez was overdrafted.
Phillip Rivers was considered a mid 1st prospect until draft day, then he went 4th.
Flacco was considered a late 1st rounder and got drafted in the middle of the first.

You have to have conviction on your guy and just take him. As much as I'd love to drop down and get more picks, you can't afford to get cute with trading down, especially at the QB, and especially with these circumstances. Everyone knows we need a QB and that Sherman is high on Tannehill. GMs aren't stupid. If anyone after #8 wants him and the Dolphins trade out of that spot, someone else is likely to snag him.

I sure hope not. The RB positon has proven to be the most intercangeable position, with undrafted and late round guys constantly having success. If he's not Adrian Peterson/Ricky Williams good, I don't want any part of drafting a RB top 10. Even then I'd consider another option first, considering the shelf life of running backs.

HELL NO!!!! Tannehill with the 8th pick and pass up on such players as Ingram, Coples, Upshaw, Reiff and Richardson who could all be available when we pick. ARE YOU FREAKIN KIDDING ME. GET REAL....want someone to groom ...he's in the 2nd or 3rd round....NOT the 8th pick overall.
