Brent Grimes is better than Richard Sherman

This really proves that Grimes is the better corner. Sherman talks and thats why he is seen as the top shutdown corner but by looking at this chart and including the stats I posted it is clear that Grimes is better than Sherman
Here's the top 50 sorted by QB rating in their zone. Patterson and Grimes are both top 10 in the NFL!

Also Nolan Carroll and Jimmy Wilson both in the top 10 as well

I think I just threw up in my mouth a little

Whoops meant to 20 not top 10. There's definitely an argument for Grimes to be the top CB in the league that's for sure.

In addition to his great athletic play on the field, he has been an excellent role model for the young DBs. It is not a coincidence that Nolan Carroll and even Jimmy Wilson have improved with Grimey's presence, and I'm sure that he is helping to show Davis and Taylor how a top CB plays and conducts himself as a pro, as well.
Here is a short guy who went undrafted out of Shippenburg, (wherever that is? - never heard of it), and all he does is make great plays every week. Congratulations Jeff Ireland on finally signing a terrific player who is making a great contribution to the team. Only mistake was signing him for just one year. His market rate is escalating every game.
It would be priority to keep him for long term.

Going by those numbers is a ridiculous way to judge a corner. On tackles? Come on bro.

More tackles COULD mean he lets up a completion before bringing him down or less passes defended COULD mean that teams don't throw at Sherman as much.

Look I like Grimes a ton, but Sherman is better.

Nolan Carroll and Jimmy Wilson have both improved this season and this data clearly supports that. However, many on here are too set in their opinions (that both are hopeless and are taking up roster spaces), to acknowledge and derive pleasure in their better play. We should all have an open mind. Some players can improve significantly. Nolan and Jimmy are actually looking like pretty good draft picks for 5th and 7th rounders.

I think this is going to come down to Grimes wanting to resign, not the dolphins wanting to resign him.

How about the PFF.com cumulative CB rating? Grimes rated 2 spots ahead of Sherman this year. Grimes is much better against the pass and Sherman is much better against the run.

You did see the other stats I posted right? Did I judge him solely on tackles? How about PD's where Grimes has him beat handily as well as QBR against noted on the char that was posted (which does take into consideration how much teams throw.

Also, lets assume that teams would throw to Grimes less than Sherman since everyone is so scared of Sherman. With that being said if true would make Grimes even better than Sherman. If Grimes had the mouth Sherman has he would definitely get more press which would result in the media acknowledging that Grimes is better than Sherman.

I'm not trying to take away anything from Grimes, they're on the same level. Don't get so offended from a different opinion, multiple stats have been posted but a cb is much more than stats.

According to that second chart, the honey badger is the 2nd best corner on the nfl. Along with a lot of other players ranked very high on that list that maybe shouldn't be but whatever.

Solid....professional ...role model...clutch......athletic as hell and doesn't run his mouth or show boat!
Make him an offer he can't refuse.

Mathieu has been outstanding in tackling and rushing the passer this year. That's what inflates that PFF overall rating. The first chart is more indicative of CB coverage ability simply based off of opposing QB rating in their coverage. Honey Badger is 55th there.

I dunno man, his less tackles is most likely a result of better lb play and d line play. ppl don't run into the backfield as much requiring him to tackle more. but I still love grimes!
