Brett Brackett... The Dolphins Hiding A TE That Can Stretch The Field???

I don't have a lot of faith in Omar...
Remember, that's Omar Kelly's theory. Omar hasn't always proven himself to be the best judge of football. It could be that Brackett is raw as an onion, and they feel the other TE's can help them more now, and his upside isn't high enough to keep on the team this year.

I have a couple things to say in resonse to those who say "if he is that good, why hide him?" or why not play him in real situations.

1) This offseason ordeal does not allow enough game time for them to put him out there for what they already have planned for the start of the season. So you stash him because...
2) Players in this league, regardless of talent level, have to progress to become good-great. duh. Why this is even debated is unreal to me.
3) They want a backup who does not require a roster spot
4) The preseason is only half over. He may get some serious looksies tonight. But since they say he is a good blocker, you may not notice him in either.
5) I have not seen a whole lot of Shuler either, He was the guy I thought had the backup TE spot since he played in games last year.
6) i gotta go.

So you have a guy who played 2 positions in college, neither of which is the position he's going to play in the NFL. Instead of getting him valuable playing time in the pre-season games so that he can possibly be ready to contribute to the team in the regular season, we're going to hide him and unleash his raw potential on NE ? Or hide him so he can get valuable playing time in next year's pre-season games?

this regime has given players a game to prove themselves and then they dont play anymore. maybe his game is tonight.

Being invisible on the football field because you suck does not equal being hid from other teams...
