This video shows just how good Brian Hartline can be in a WCO and with a coaching staff that continues to develop this guys talent, he could be a great WR

wait... hartline can be good? wouldn't it make more sense to bring in plaxico and driver to teach our rookies how to be good players and just ****can hartline?

Nope better to develop your own players than bring in old players.
The partial rebuild is on. Why waste time on retreads?

I definitely don't back way from my Jordy Nelson "light" comparison for B.H. I would like to see him stay upright a little bit more but regardless very underrated Wr! Great Hands, Deceptive speed and route running

I've made that same observation here about a month ago speculating that based on a similar size, clean route running and reliable hands, Philbin sees something of Jordy in Hartline, especially in context to the WC offense. And as such, consistent with his vision, there was no urgency to draft a WR in the early rounds.

I like Hartline alot, but I just dont know if he can get the Yac you want in a Wc offense....Most of the routes that he is running in this video never give him the oppurtuinty tho. I also wonder how willing he will be to go over the middle where a Wr gets his best chances at YAC

Definetly need to work on how to get YAC...is it routes? Is it the gym?, Is it his lack of spark, or quickness? His hand are amazing, but his separation and elusiveness isn´t. He´s hitting the deck in almost every catch, how much of that was Henne´s fault, is the question, but even on deep routes, catch, and slam to the floor... Couldn´t even outrun Ball from Dallas, who´s as bad as can be...We have good posssesion pass catchers, but it´s a Gates type WR who we desperately need the most!! Is Gates the guy? Hasn´t shown anything yet. I was hoping for a stud MLB or S in next year´s draft, but best WR available might be the biggest need!!

A lot of the lack of run after catch was on ball placement. You've got to pay attention to where these balls are coming in. Always really low, really high, or really wide. That wasn't just Chad Henne, that was also Matt Moore. Moore makes his WRs work for the ball.

There are plays where you see the potential for Hartlne to keep his feet better if he had more consistently good ball placement. However, there is no denying there are plays in there where Hartline really didn't NEED to go to the ground as he was catching it or immediately after he caught it...but he did anyway. Those are the situations I'm sure Philbin and O'Keefe will want to work on with Brian, to help him avoid.

Hell no to Burress, but I'd take Driver in a heartbeat. Hartline won't even be the best WR on the Phins this year. That title will belong to Bess. Hartline's nickname should be Crash, cause it's like a car accident after he makes the catch. But, as I stated in the other Hartline thread, I love his toughness and ability to make those tight sideline catches.

BTW, I can sense the sarcasm, so this would be an argument against Hartline and for Driver. That's my vote if I had the choice, but I think Driver will resign with the Pack.

I can't agree with you at all. I think hartline is our best WR this year. I think with an accurate QB and timing, he'll have a monster year. I dont' want driver or burress on this team. and not because they wouldn't be productive, but because they've reached the end, and we have a buttload of guys who are just starting. do our guys have the talent, heart, drive, to progress and become legit nfl players? we'll never know if they get dumped for either burress or driver.

Why is Braylon Edwards still without a job? I am asking.
