I can't agree with you at all. I think hartline is our best WR this year. I think with an accurate QB and timing, he'll have a monster year. I dont' want driver or burress on this team. and not because they wouldn't be productive, but because they've reached the end, and we have a buttload of guys who are just starting. do our guys have the talent, heart, drive, to progress and become legit nfl players? we'll never know if they get dumped for either burress or driver.

I feel so much better now!

Hartline had some pretty good combine numbers. 1.50 sec 10 yard, 6.65 sec 3 cone, 4.12 sec 20 yard shuttle which are all pretty darn good. These numbers are all as good or better than Greg Jennings, James Jones and Jordy Nelson. Match those numbers with his crisp route running and good hands and he has a chance to be a very effective receiver for us. He's just so darn goofy looking.....

wait... hartline can be good? wouldn't it make more sense to bring in plaxico and driver to teach our rookies how to be good players and just ****can hartline?

This is sarcasm for those of you cant tell

Hell no to Burress, but I'd take Driver in a heartbeat. Hartline won't even be the best WR on the Phins this year.

I think you are wrong. Hartline is a good receiver, and he will be the best receiver on the team. He is more than a possession receiver, but he is not top end talent.

Hartline can be a good enough #2 WR on a team with a good quarterback. The kid can get open, he runs pretty good routes, and he actually can get open down the field with relative effectiveness. The problem with him as a #1 is that you really never see him do anything remotely spectacular. As has been discussed, he doesn't get YAC, he doesn't go up and get the ball over defenders on high throws, he's never going to draw double teams, and his lack of touchdown production is really glaring. 3 years in the league and 2 years as a starter for 5 TDs? Yeesh.
Could Hartline be a lot better with a better QB? Of course. You can say that about literally every receiver in the league unless his QB is Tom Brady or Aaron Rodgers. Problem is, he won't see better QB play this year... So moot point.
I really don't see the Jordy Nelson comparison either. While they are similar in height (Hartline 6-2, Nelson 6-3) Nelson plays at around 220 while Hartline plays at around 200. Nelson has way more muscle, he breaks tackles and he's a lot more explosive than Hartline. Production also has to mean something to you guys. I understand that Nelson has Aaron Rodgers, but in his first full season as a starter last year (while still in a loaded WR corps so he didn't play constantly) he had an absolutely freakish year and scored 15 times. Extremely impressive in any offense.
Like I said, Hartline can very well be a good enough #2 guy, but do you really have confidence in the guy to go out and beat the Revis', Nnamdi's and Joseph's of the world? Ugh. I sure as **** don't.

Hartline is a good WR.

But there no way in hell he catches the ball cleanly. He has one of the ugliest forms I have ever seen catching the ball.

I would also like to see all of Hartlines targets...Not just his catches..that is really important to me..As Ck and I noted Brian didnt have very many oppurtunties for yards after catch in his receiptions we also have seen him run end arounds quite a few times and all tho he is not elusive he is not afraid of contact..which you gotta like in a WC style reciever...My one concern about this video is that in most of these video Brian is catching passes when teams are in off man and zone coverage..You dont really see him beat press man very often..Teams will come up and play press man to disrupt timing in a west coast offense so this is something to be concerned about.

I thought he ran some pretty damn good routes... Or am I just a bad evaluator? His hands are undeniably good. Moore and Henne didn't do him any favors with all the low balls.

Well if you watched the video you'd see that Hartline did beat Nnamdi for about 20 yards

You think hes going to go out and beat #1 corners in this league consistently based on what he has shown so far in his career?

Before we can consider Hartline a good receiver, he needs to make more headlines on ESPN. He needs to show he is willing to do what it takes to be a number 1 receiver. Everyone knows the quality of wr play is determined by how many headlines you have on ESPN. Axe or other cheesy commercial help too. Time for him to FINALLY step up.
