This guy, Cecil Lammey thinks he would be a really good hire.

Brian Xanders is a numbers guy, knows how to maneuver salary cap, more than just a numbers guy though, has eye for talent see: Chris Harris

Xanders shows up and #Lions draft is solid, plus they grabbed quality UDFAs like Joseph Fauria - quality football guy

I like how they seem to be taking their time to get this right. Xanders is an interesting option and he seems to have had pretty decent success in the draft. I think we have 3-4 really strong options at GM and they are wanting to get this right this time (we can hope!)
 
Everything i'm reading is really good.. Why wouldn't he be the front runner?

A lot better than Farmer :lol:
 
A young guy with a definite proven track record of quality drafting and personal decisions. I liked the other candidates but he is definitely # 1 right now. Pair him with Kubiak or McAdoo and I think this team would really take off.
 
Seems like another well-qualilfied, far from being on the downside of the-hill type viable candidate.
 
Never heard his name until this morning, after doing some reading im really surprised he isn't high on a lot of teams radar. I'd be really excited if he's our guy.

He got a lot of buzz when Elway took over in Denver. He'd be a really good get.

Big O has been going of with CK saying that Xanders isn't that good. Does he have any merit to his statements?
