Brock Jensen released, new QB being signed

I've seen enough of Devlin to see that he is capable of getting a win or two as a starter if not be. Not saying he would be likely to win, but worse QB's have won games in the NFL. I don't think Devlin is incompetent.

Vince Young can win a game as a starter if need be. We can sign him off the street.

I agree with those that say we should only keep 2 QB's. RT, and Moore. If they both go down to injury, the season is over anyway. We can always sign Kyle Orton or dredge out the corpse of Vinny Testaverde for a couple "L's" at the end of the season.

The Newly Signed Fins QB is Seth Lobato from Northern Colorado:

"Lobato, a 6-foot-5, 229 product from Northern Colorado, was originally signed by the Indianapolis Colts after going undrafted during May's selection process. He was waived on June 2 by Indianapolis.

As a senior at Nothern Colorado, Lobato threw for 2,725 yards and 16 touchdowns. In 2012, as a junior, he threw for 2,797 yards and earned Big Sky All-Conference honorable mention, with an additional 2,448 yards passing and 17 touchdowns as a sophomore, his first full year of play.

Prior to joining Northern Colorado, Lobato spent a year as a red-shirt freshman with the University of Colorado.

To make room for Lobato, the Dolphins have released fourth string quarterback Brock Jensen, again confirmed by Hirschhorn. Most likely, Lobato is simply a camp arm the Dolphins are hoping performs better than Jensen did. The best case scenario is he can come into camp and at least challenge Devlin for the third quarterback position."

Hayden - I know that you were unwell the other day but be careful of the medication. Who said anything about not keeping Tannehill and Moore?
BTW - Hope that you're feeling better. Just think of all the Dolphin talent on the roster should cheer you up. More talent plus the best coaches, we've had in years.

I actually think I was being clear...keep just two QB's and as Nubs stated, keep six receivers or keep an extra DB etc.

"But bro, Jensen was going to take over for Tannehill. He's such a beast!" -FH trolls 3 weeks ago.

I don't believe the Dolphins are comfortable with Devlin as the 2 next season and if not, he should be cut to free up a roster spot. I doubt any teams will be lined up to sign him. If something were to happen to Tannehill or Moore, they can obtain Devlin or a suitable talent to become the 2. As pointed out earlier, if it comes down to Devlin, the season is pretty much awash.

I'd take Pat White over Devlin. Pat looked pretty awesome in skins preseason games last year, a lot better than Devlin has ever looked vs scrubs.

Last year we were safe and sorry. We could have just signed McKinnie from the get go rather have Devlin hold a clip board all season. Plus bully gate doesn't happen and Martin is likely still a member of the team.

Martin sucks Dude. Stoked flabby arms is off the 2014 roster.

I would love the roster spot, but the way that it seems Lazor is going to use the QB out of the pocket and the issues on the Oline, maybe three Qb's are in order. At the same time, if Devlin is the Q for more than week, what chance does the team really have?

I am inclined to keep RT and Moore at this point and keep more talented players elsewhere on the roster.

Hayden, I usually agree with you Dude, but by the same token what chance does this team really have with Matt Moore starting more then a week? Matt Moore is a career back up hack. Dig his stats from last year. Im not saying Devlin is the answer, but Moore certainly is not. I would rather have some diamond in rough who may have some upside. That is why you draft a QB in the late rounds. I would cut Moore and keep Devlin. Trust me no on is going to miss Matt Moore.

News for you Dude, this season may be "awash" even with Tannehill. Don't get the Matt Moore Love? He sucks
