Broncos OL John Moffitt "Walks Away" vs Martin

I'm not laying all the blame on him, just find it confusing that people want to demonize Martin. Incognito definitely did something wrong. Exactly how wrong we don't know, but we do know he said some stuff that was over the line.

Incognito simply cursed at him.

Go to a playground and write down how the kids curse at each other.

Stuff builds up. It may not have been a big deal at the time, but things kept piling on. I really don't understand why people are clinging to everything they can to defend Incognito while just wanting to crucify Martin. The truth is, none of us really know. People want to side with Richie though because he is the better player. I like Incognito, I've liked him since college and I hope he plays for Miami again, but I think he messed up. I think he went too far.

I think you said it best none of us really know. I reserved judgment until the players came to the defense of Incognito. The players know what goes on, not the media not the fans. I think the opinions of guys who spent everyday with both men is the most damning evidence for Martin.

Incognito went too far. Martin called him on it. It's as simple as that.

So as far as your concerned, it's just that simple...got it, then I guess you must be enjoying the great one-sided coverage from the media also.

It's not that simple and if you paid any attention to it you would know that.

How is this different than the Martin saga? You don't know the real reason he left he gave such an ambiguous explanation that can be taken as anything. Or maybe he didn't feel the need to bring down a franchise for his own good.

Ps. There's still no real explanation on why Martin left either and if he wants to continue his NFL except by excerpts from his Lawyers and agents.

Martin didn't like it and walked away. I'm not telling anyone to hate Incognito, I know I don't, but using racial slurs and threatening to harm a dude's family is going over the line. I know why the players support Richie. He is the popular kid, he can do what he wants. The bottom line though is Martin didn't like it and walked away. I have no problem with that. Martin shouldn't be forced to work somewhere and have to deal with that crap. It's not about being a tough guy, it's about showing some respect and he didn't get any.

You want respect earn it and Martin refused to earn it.

Richie is a dunce, but do you really think Martin felt genuinely threatened by a voicemail sent by a drunk, boorish teammate known for using lots of 'off-color' language who was laughing and talking trash and then ended with "OK, call me back?" Especially when -- and this is gonna come out -- Martin sent the same kind of text message stuff back to him?

Please. I will not defend Richie at all in this situation, I think he has dug his own grave here, but Martin's camp is so disingenuous here it boggles the mind how anyone can fall for this. You honestly think Martin felt threatened? That he really thought Richie was going to go slap his mom, **** in his mouth, and then kill him? Richie = socially retarded moron, and Martin = socially retarded weasel. That's all.

Nah, a man deserves respect until he proves he does not deserve it. I don't walk into my job and tell the new guy that I'm going to eff his sister and crap in his mouth. I don't go around my job and use racial slurs and continuously beat up on the same guy day in and day out. Now there has to be some latitude because it is football and it is violent and people need to blow off steam, but there comes a point when you need to back off, and Richie didn't do that.

The fan reaction to this whole fiasco has taught me a lot about how stupid our society is. Any more evolution from us, and I fully expect comments like "she shouldn't have had a vagina", or "he shouldn't have let that bullet enter his skull".

I'm not saying he felt threatened, I'm saying he had enough of it. He obviously hated coming to work and had to make a change. I do believe that Richie made it hard for him to come to work every day. I don't think he was bullied, but I do think he felt it was a hostile work environment.

I disagree strongly with this statement. You basically called out the character of every guy in the locker room saying they support the popular kid and weren't willing to stand up if an injustice was truly occuring. You are assuming too much here IMO.

This I will absolutely agree with. But here is my thing: Why is his camp saying he genuinely felt threatened? You see what I'm getting at here? The actions of the Martin camp do not pass the smell test.

It's human nature. We support the guy we like.
