Broncos OL John Moffitt "Walks Away" vs Martin

It's human nature. We support the guy we like.

I think that is where the character aspect comes in. It takes charcter to go against human nature and stand up to one of our friends. I am sure most on here have been in situations where a friend or family member was blatantly out of line and they had to make a choice. It could be that Martin put on a brave face and covered it up very well, so the guys didn't think there was a situation. That could be a real possibility.

Here is the way I see it. I don't know, but I'm guessing. Richie is an A-hole. I don't mean that in a bad way. He is just clowning around and is abrasive with everyone. They all think it's funny and probably throw it back at him. Martin is a different dude. He is probably socially awkward and just didn't know how to handle it. I'm not saying that everyone turned a blind eye to Richie, but that they just didn't see anything wrong with it. I support Martin's right to say he doesn't like it. Even if every other guy in the room thinks it's ok, that doesn't mean the last guy has to agree.

I agree with this. I personally think Martin is manipulating the situation, but I certainly see what you mentioned above being a real possibility. I am siding with what the majority of players have said at this point, but there is still a lot to this situation we don't and may never know unforutnately.

It may come out as a money grab and I will have to admit being wrong, but I think Martin is possible weird enough that he just couldn't handle it anymore. The extra media pressure has just made it blow up though and now I think he is probably feeling more and more sorry for himself as he gets extra attention.

You are right about that. If he is as wierd and intraverted as some reports claim this media frenzy has to be a nightmare. That's why I think the parents and legal team are pushing the fight more than anything at this point.

That I agree with. I think the attention this has got may have made them think they could take advantage of the situation.
