Broncos WR Rod Smith: "This is the best defense we'll play all season"

ill admit it. i thaught the fins would loose. but i dont think the fins D played better than i thaught. i just expected denver to have a good team this year. mad was i wrong about that. :(

and that, "best defense we will face all year", comment will last untill week 14 when they play the ravens. then beaten again when they play the bills week 15.

very impresive win for the fins sunday. well see what happens over the next few weeks. ;)

The wonderful thing about the continuity of this defense with last year's defense and the defenses previous is WE GUTTED THE FREAKIN THING! We dumped Surtain, Knight, Greenwood, Bowens, Chester, Ogunleye, Marion, Freeman, EVERYONE except for Taylor, Seau, Thomas, and Madison.

The new defense is a lot cheaper compared with the old defense, some younger players, some veterans, good mix...and they're easily as good as anything we've had here before...and time will only tell if they can be better.

Ya know, CK...you're getting excited here !! Not like you to get giddy...LOL....I agree, it's amazing the transformation and yet the D didn't skip a beat...I'd love to see us prove the press wrong too....

I hope Jay Fiedler gets to start next Sunday or at least gets some playing time. I'm sure there are some guys out there that want to see what it feels like to be on the other side of his pick 6's. ;)
 
I'll be a man and admit that I thought this year was going to be fun, but never did I think that we would be blowing teams out. We were 3-4 scores away from them for half the game. Very Good indeed. I hope we can continue the momentum and confidence. Even though we were finally clicking on offense, which is a huge surprise, I was blown away with how smothering our defense was. It was rare to see our guys making a solo tackle because they were always attacking. That's a well coached team. So Rod must have been seeing the same thing. Even our secondary was light years ahead of what we saw in the pre-season. I'm still wondering if Saban was sandbagging all pre-season so that teams underestimated us a bit. Kept his trump cards till now ya know? I guess moving forward we have to assume that most teams won't be surprised anymore...which means that the games will be harder since they will probably approach the phins with a more cautious and prepared demeanor. GO PHINS!!

The troll part of your post was when you disagreed with Rod Smith's assessment of the Fins defense by saying that Buffalo's was better.

1. This thread has nothing to do with Buffalo.

2. Nobody gives a crap about Buffalo.

"the best defense we will see all season". i disagreed, and said so. i also listed the ravens D. i should have also listed the Jags, Pats, Cowboys, and maybe even the Chargers defense. but im sorry if i said another team had a better defense. :eek: , that doesnt make me a troll.

- you are a Bills fan
- on a Fins board
- you post that the Buffalo defense is better than the Fins
- on a thread that has nothing to do with Buffalo.

-i am a bills fan. nothing new.
-on a fin board. i like to think i bring an outside opinion. and if i was not welcome here, im sure the mod would tell me so. but as you can see, ive been here for a while. (hell, i even said i was wrong about picking the broncos to win.)

I really liked the Bills uniforms yesterday. Was that a retro one time look or did they make the change. The team played well too. You're not a troll, you just have bad judgement in picking your favorite team. LOL As far as I am concerned, you are welcome here. We might even convert you. HAH!

it was retro time. :)
i just wish i could see more games. i got NFL sunday ticket. i would have liked to see the fins game, but i wont change the channel if my game is on. do you think NFL Network will re-air entire games, i hate that cut down version.
