That's your problem. You're comparing an established regime that ran the club for decades to one that's only been in charge for 1 and a half seasons. What I want to know is, how long will you give the next regime before you want them to be run out of town too? Half a season? Jesus, give them some time. I'm not saying Philbin has done an 'excellent' job so far, but he hasnt done a bad job to the point where I want to start all over again. Dont you realize, every time we hit the reset button that puts us 3-5 years behind.
 
Not true anymore, in this day and age you see a new staff contend for the Super Bowl fairly quick, look at the Niners and currently the Chiefs. Time has changed with free agency and teams win or lose from year to year. Unfortunately our beloved Dolphins have seen much more of the latter.

those are exceptions to the rule. Ridiculous to expect this. But whatever, you guys keep having ludicris expectations and continue to be let down. Let's see how disapointed you are in the new regime for not winning the SB in their first season.
 
Listen, I like Philbin and think he deserves another year but Ireland has to go and football culture says any new GM wants to pick his staff. NYJets haven't done this and it seems to be working but sexy is on a short leash. Stability is a must to get back that franchise we all want but it starts with a complete staff of competent people and I think we only have a portion of the complete staff. So what do we do? Roll with Ireland again or find that gem GM that e can keep for 10 years +.

I will go with the later, and so would most Dolphin fans. PSFIGN evidently would rather this franchise just chase it's tail for the next 5 years.

That being said, I get the dislike for Ireland and the ONLY reason I dont want him gone is to give Philbin a chance. if Ireland left and Philbin stayed, that would be my optimal situation.
