Caleb Sturgis Probably cost us the season

KICKERS DON'T LOSE SEASONS, TEAMS LOSE SEASONS. if I hear one more person blame a kicker I am going to find the nearest baby and line up a 30 yarder

I'm back in positive mind-set mode after being bummed out by that Ravens win last night. I kinda lost my head a little bit and forgot about the Bengals situation. I refuse to believe at this point that we're gonna lose to freakin' Buffalo. We have that 'team of destiny' thing going right now. Seeing how the Steelers smoked Cincy, and knowing that we beat Pittsburgh in a blizzard makes me believe that we are one tough out for anyone taking us on.
Also, the fact that we could overcome the kinda start that we had on Sunday is awe-inspiring too. In years past, or even this year, snapping a football off our holder's helmet on a FG try would've snowballed into us getting killed, especially as the momentum in that game did swing to a being 10-zip NE lead. Once again, Tanny led us right down the field for 6. The dude is getting unflappable and he's not only carrying a team, but a whole fanbase as well.

Phins UP!

Now that the Ravens kicker just saved Baltimore's season, I'm reminded how Sturgis missed a shorter kick against Baltimore that triggered a really bad stretch after that which likely cost us the Buffalo game too.

obviously, what Baltimore's kicker did was freakin' amazing, but the contrast between this kid for the Ravens and our guy is just really caustic and abrasive. The effect it had on our two seasons is now very different and sad.

Once again, our backs are against the wall, with backup cornerbacks trying to stave off oblivion.

You're kidding yourself if you think Baltimore is losing another game this reg season. They will Beat Down the Patriots.

Our backs are against the wall? Wow man, you need to check yourself. You do realize we control our own destiny right? Some fans....SMH

And do we care?

Your whole post is just crap - from blaming a kicker for a season (which hasn't ended yet) to your knowledge of the playoff scenario.

Poor offensive line play and a crack in the locker room is to blame if the season is lost, not a rookie kicker with a good leg. He needs to work on the accuracy but he is not to blame.

We win two and we are in. If we don't make the playoffs it is the organizations fault.

At least you started a rant without doing the research!

For a rookie, Caleb has had a solid season .... geez, he made 13 kicks in a row before he got his first miss, then he was in a bit of a slump, and has worked his way out of it. Give him a break .... did he miss some big kicks, absolutely ... and most of those were 50+ yarders. Those aren't easy kicks. ... All kickers miss and get into a slump ... and Caleb is no different. To tell you the truth, I rather have him instead of Carpenter now. Carpenter single handedly cost us a winning season last year, and those kicks he missed were EASY kicks.

Give Caleb a break ... Im sure he will only get better.

Sturgis is already on my all underrated team for next season. Too many fans have a low opinion of him.

I don't like the facemask or his school but he'll be an effective kicker for a long time.

I liked in September, not sure what game. He had a 50+ harder, nailed it but they called time out. He nailed the second one too. If he gets that back we are good. At that point I was impressed. I'm kind of scared lately but it is not his fault we are where we are.
