Camps Biggest Letdown?? (so far)

The reason Roth is letting you down is because you believed all the BS hype he got on this board.

He's got alot of potential, but he's got a ways to go. Alot of learning and adjusting to the pro game.

How many DE's make a huge impact there rookie year? Not JT.

You can't let the 25 Matt Roth pictures in signature, and threats of him ripping qb's heads off let you forget that he's still a rookie with alot to learn about technique, and how to succeed in the pros.

I completely agree. What about all those threads where they started making up nicknames for him as well as others? Personally, I think that was lame but people ran with it. I'm not expecting him to be more than a situational pass rusher this year therefore, I'm not that dissapointed.

So what your saying is he kind of reminds you of losman??? thats exactly what i was thinking..

You can't let the JP pictures in signatures, and the prayers for him to turn the Bills around forget that he's still a (true) rookie with alot to learn about technique, and how to succeed in the pros. Right??Ohhhh..Nice opinion on our team now try and stay focused on yours and your weeknesses.

Anyway I think the biggest let down so far has to be Ronnie NOT being in there to compete.

This is pitiful A week of his first camp and you are already disappointed in a player. First off there is a reason he was a 2nd Rd. pick. Second at least let him play a preseason game before declaring him a disappointment, and third stop taking everything you read about a player as the gospel. If you read all the pre-draft stuff then most players drafted would be stars.

This instant gradification is way out of hand.

Mine biggest disappointment is Nick Saban. The man came to Miami will all this hype and has yet to win a game.

He must be fired.

I guess your looking for the a chance to get on somebody's case or something but maybe you didnt take my post correctly. There is a reason I used letdown instead of dissappointed. He is doing exactly what he should be doing as a rookie, I just thought he was going to be more. Its not that I'm taking what is being said as gospel, there was just a lot of hype on this site about Roth, so I figured he would come out and be a semi-dominate DE. Maybe if you understood why how you use different words to get different points across you would know how to write "MY" instead of "MINE" and how about "The man came to Miami WITH instead of WILL" That my friend is pathetic. ENGLISH.

The Dolphins fan base is kinda like a cancer patient who has recovered and went into remission, beating the disease. The cancer IS gone IMO...(wannestedt). The phins have a great mix of vets and fresh rookies, as well as a staff of highly touted coaches now. I see nothing on the horizon but reasons for the hope of a successful season for our phins. A number of fans seem in a funk about the upcoming season like their waiting for the other shoe to fall like the cancer will return. I say screw that noise...c'mon phin fans shower, shave, put on that new jersey open a can of ice cold brewski and lets bring on the broncos! I cant wait for this 11-5 (with playoffs)season to begin...Its gonna be great!:beerbang:

Good analogy, but a cancer patient in remission is weak for quite some time from the chemo, radiation, and surgury. Eventually they recover full strength, but it takes time.

Same is true with the Phins. Our cancer did tremendous damage. Its finally been cut out, and we are already stronger, but it will take time to get to where we want to be.

Patience, grasshopper.

I can't imagine anyone who's watched Frerotte over the years thinking he was going to come in here and just punk AJ from the get go.

I dont know Aqua. Ferotte has had some pretty nice streches in his career, especially in Washington and Minnesota. I think he will win the job this year and put up some suprisingly good numbers. Hes obviously not our long term answer, but he will put up some solid numbers. Hes my sleeper for the Phins this year.

Just one guys opinion of course.

unless you see the guys by going to the practices yourself, or unless you get indisputable facts like lee dropping 4 passes, i don't see how one can make a judgement call on the player's performance. so, my disappointment will be a little different.

my biggest disappointment is not being able to read reports on brown in camp.

Right on.

My only dissapointment so far is Tony Pape retiring. He had to be better than Taylor Whitley. :shakeno:

:0wned:

Iwas just about to post the exact same thing :rofl3: :rofl3:
I would also mention that all his life Roth has had to tone it down in practice so don.t worry he will be fine in games, and at least we are not hanging our whole season on him like Buffalo is doing with Losman :D :D

I think the biggest letdown would have to be david boston. some reports say thompson is outplaying him

Your retort is getting on someone's case for "my" instead of "mine" and a spelling typo? Pretty weak. He's got a point. Players are just starting to warm up in the first week of camp and get their legs going and learning the playbook. It's too early to call anyone a disappointment or "letdown". Pretty useless thread in my opinion.

'your' should be 'you're'
