Can phins fire tony and hire gruden now?

Gruden developed the Oakland Raiders, a team that stunk for years before he got there and stunk for years after he got traded to Tampa and then took Tony Dungy's perennial underachievers and beat the Raiders in the Super Bowl. The guy knows a thing or two.

At least you point out something that makes sense; Gruden developed the Raiders much more than he did for the Bucs. And yes, as a gameday coach Tony Dungy's Bucs were truly underachieving. A lot of the great players for Gruden's squad came in the year before, and Dungy's team was exceptionally poor performing considering the improvements they made to the roster.

When it's all said and done, yes. Freeman's season last year was better than any other QB in Bucs history. I'm not looking at the numbers, but I'm pretty sure they support me.

And I wasn't talking about the QB's who went on to have good careers once they weren't a Buc. Young was unadulterated terrible and the other two had their best moments elsewhere. Based on your logic, I guess the Bucs should have a championship banner for that Super Bowl Steve Young won for the other team.

well considering he DIDNT EVEN MAKE THE PROBOWL when others have. im pretty sure u better go look at those numbers slick. and considering brad johnson WON A SUPER BOWL in that pewter think u better put a little more thought into this one bub.

since your statement was "the most impressive QB in that franchise's history was drafted after he left." last i checked steve young is a part of that franchises history. are u saying hes not??? pretty sure he WAS a buc dude. id say as a quarterback hes a little more impressive than freeman. pretty sure the hall of fame will support me on that one.

and since even by the hall of fames standards WINNING CHAMPIONSHIPS defines quarterbacks.

id say maybe you need to reevaluate your thinking here. cause its pretty clear that josh freeman is neither the best quarterback in the franchises history NOR did he have the best season in the franchises history. think youre fresh out on this one.

When we fire Sparano just promote Todd Bowles, that way we get our minority candidate out of the way.

yeah he did such a terrible job of developing that a the team he took over WON IT ALL IN HIS FIRST YEAR. and they team he built from a losing team into a perennial winner actually played his new team in the final game.

last i checked quarterback is the most important position on the field. and oddly enough he took one journeyman quarterback that his team didnt want and he developed into an NFL MVP. he took another journeyman quarterback his team didnt want to a superbowl winning quarterback in his first year. and his 3rd quarterback went to the probowl under his watch.

yep the guys garbage. maybe u 2 in your infinite wisdom should be our next GM

Look at Grudens record after the Super Bowl as he began to lose Tony's players.

That fine record also come with poor media relations, constant player discontent, and no continuity amongst players (except for the stars that had been held over since Dungy) for the fans to identify with.

I dont know what to think anymore. Our supposed strength has become our weakness. We cant stop a nosebleed.

Its funny how you term it, "the minority candidate thing" and seem to completely discredit it.. Although I think its a horrible rule too. Here's a newsflash, there actually MIGHT be a good minority coach out there.

so why not get the minority candidate thing out of the way now. I say give herm edwards an interview. HELLO! YOU PLAY TO WIN THE GAME!!!

its a start.

but for real. this is why changing coaches really doesnt do anything. players who wont get their money demands met will tank and those who have their paychecks have tanked since day one. Marshall.
