Can Rishard Matthews Break Out This Year?

meh hes overrated around here, matthews could be useful, thats about it

idk let me check pff

Check with someone, other than yourself, as everything I have been reading has been negative in short posts with nothing whatsoever to back it up.

Green bay was better. Its a good comparison but i would rate each of their players a notch above all of our guys. Nelson is hartline only a better yac player for example

Nelson is a lot better than Hartline imo, much stronger and physical

Hey its just my view on Matthews and if you don't like it then don't ask, im sorry that I don't think a WR with 500 yards in 2 seasons is suddenly going to be a superstar or for that matter deserve to start over 3 better receivers in Wallace, Hartline and Gibson. He will contribute, thats about it, he will be useful, like I said.;

Speaking of post history, I find it curious that you even care, as going by your post history you don't seem to have ever actually watched an NFL game in your life and for some reason prefer to just look at spreadsheets and base all your views off that. I have to say that I find it a very odd way to follow a sport but hey if that's how you like it then fair play to you SB... personally I prefer to watch the game rather than the stat screen on nfl.com and pff *shrug.* You should put the spreadsheet down some day and watch a game mate, you might enjoy it.

Wallace = Poor Mans Jennings
Hartline = Nelson, not only because they both happen to be white either
Driver = Matthews
Jones = Gibson
Finley = Not really on the roster!

GB squad is overall and individually better I think.Although, it's kinda hard to really say considering we don't have Aaron Rogers back there throwing them the rock.

seriously with those comparisons ?

Jennings is known for his crisp routes and ability to run the entire route tree with ease - Wallace well he's pretty much the opposite
Nelson- a big strong fast route runner who's strength is his ability to win jump balls and Yac - Hartline is a total finesse receiver who hardly ever wins a jump ball and barely gets any YAC.
Driver- Matthews ????

Sorry just don't see it.

I like that Matthews recently mentioned his HUGE drop against the Jets. It obviously burned him up all offseason.

Good post UK, about time you had something to say.

I was thinking of trying to watch a game this year but, it would interfere with all the "made up stuff" I have been posting for many a year but, Thanks for a wonderful idea. LOL

Yeah, and that was his only one all year.

I think that was the only time Rishard Matthews ever dropped a ball, in his entire NFL career, including preseason games.

That drop was so memorable since he basically never dropped a ball before.

winning teams need players like him on the roster, guys who step up when called upon. he had that great sideline catch on the final drive to take the lead against the pats. solid football player who imo has earned his reps this season.

It's very unusual for a slot receiver to have only one drop in half a season, with all the times he goes over the middle. I believe that drop was to the right, and it really bothered him.
