Matt wants the Dolphins and the Dolphins and Olindo want Matt.

The problem isn't the $ but that Matt wants a multi-year contract.

He has been offered a 1 year contract at $700+thousand, but because of his veteran status, PLUS THE FACT THAT IT IS A ONE YEAR CONTRACT, it only counts $400+thousand against the cap. If it becomes a 2, or more, year contract, THE TOTAL $ WILL COUNT against the cap per the NFLCBA.

I believe that is the issue. (perhaps it can be verified by one of this board's capologists)
