The Pats are loading up with Revis, Browner, and I hear they are after Brit. Denver is doing the same with Ware, etc. They seem to be thinking that they will be butting heads to go to the Super Bowl, and with good reason.

We all know that ya never know how the ball will bounce in the NFL, with injuries and player's play. My question is IF you honestly believe we can compete with, and beat these two teams?

I remember reading years ago that Pat Riley, who has won a ton of titles in the NBA, said that he was building his team for when Michael Jordan retired. That always seemed strange for a guy like him but, realistic.

Are we in the same position f targeting a year or two down the road, while looking for the playoffs but, not the title?

The Dolphins are absolutely working on creating a team that can win the Superbowl now.

That's what is so amazing about the NFL - its all about winning the Superbowl - not making the playoffs or losing a Superbowl.

Manning and Brady will exit when the Dolphins step up and escort them out of the league.

The Dolphins need a power running game.

Brady hates to get hit - so their is your formula to escorting him out of the NFL. Do it now so we can all be done with having to talk about the PAtriots anymore!!!

No, but our time will come. These are two teams at the end of their QB's lift span. We will replace them, we just need time to build through draft and use FA to fill in holes.

ummm.....NO. and ive been telling myself our time will come for 32 years now. came close in 1984 and thats about it.

i really really try to be optimistic every year...then buffalo and the jets happened last year....im still sick over it

It took me a week to "somewhat" get over that loss for Don & Dan.

You need to let it go nothing you can do about it now. Once the season was over I put it out of my mind.

As much as I dislike the Patriots.....you have to give them credit for their consistency during this Brady era. They have done a good job with a roster that changes a lot each year and they consistently perform at the top of the league.

However, what I saw last year was a Patriots team that we were much closer to in performance than in previous years....especially when you consider our head to head match ups. Aside from winning the last game, we also were the better team in the first half of the first game.....so overall, I think we matched up with them pretty well.

Both teams have improved via free agency. I don't think one is significantly farther improved than the other, so to answer your question...yes, we can compete with the Pats.

The Broncos have gotten much better on defense which is something they needed to do. Their offense was exposed a bit by the Seahawks defense in the Superbowl when they took away a lot of the short and underneath passing game and played very physical with the Broncos receivers. I just don't see our defense...especially the LB's being able to do that. Covering...I think we are fine.....but laying people out as they cross the middle and intimidating the opposing offense with their aggressiveness......I can only dream of that day. I think the Broncos will be a challenge for us.

My two cents on those two teams.....

Were are not in position for 2014 I don't believe, but when we close the gap some more (hopefully sooner rather than later) than we have to make the push to go all in money wise etc and try to get a Revis/Browner type players and when players are aware that teams are close they are willing to give a little to play for that team.

I'll take choice C) Wishing for something other than constant disappointment

IMO, we would have to be somewhat similar to Seattle and San Fran, which we are not close to. We are not close to being physical, and finese is not getting it done.

Honestly, no. We can't contend with the Broncos. We may be able to bea the Patriots once but they are looking impressive
