Can The Dolphins Contend With The Pats & Peyton This Year?

I think our defense is on the boarder of being elite, we got some damn good pieces there.

And IMO we should of went after drc and drafted mosley to add the finishing touches to make it elite. But we didn't.

As good as tannehill can be, right now our defense needs to carry this team against elite teams, sea has proven you can still win with defense, I don't think our defense is as far from them as most people do. DRC amd Mosley could of really made this defense special IMO.
 
Man, I know people are excited but some of the things we say on here are just nuts. Defense is on the border of being elite? While yes, they are good, but they are not on the boarder line of being elite. We may think the pieces are there, but we don't actually know until we see how some of these new guys fit in. The defense did show flashes of greatness last year, but they also showed to be pretty pathetic at times. Letting junk QB's rip them to shreds on long drives up the field for a td.

I don't care that Miami played the pats tough when they played them, they are still a ways away from competing them Dever and NE. This will be a good year to attempt to close the gap, but we won't be competing with either of them this year unless Miami can show more consistency.
