Can this team AFFORD a 1st Round QB?

Forget about Leinart. Our pick will not be high enough and Saban won't waste picks to move up. Also he will get more money than Alex Smith which is insane. I do think we have a shot at a QB like Omar Jacobs in the 10-20 range of the first round.

agreed...next year's top pick will own stock in that team next year....thats what they will have to pay him...its going to be rediculous....now if we could a good QB with our pick i am alright with that

You are right. We need to get Ronnie in camp this week and get him ready to go. Hopefully by week 4 Ricky should be able to get into the mix and split carries with him. For this season at least we do have the luxury of having both of these guys, and we should use both of them.

Ricky is not our future and everyone knows it--we need to trade him for a QB--period! I would love Rivers, but the bolts don't need a RB. What a mess! Thanks alot Wanny and Spielman...UGH

yeah we are in some deep...doggy doo...our best bet to give that kings Ransom for Rivers....or to just cross your fingers and hope Gus Or AJ do something right

In my mind we can and NEED to make room for a ligit QB to come in whether Draft of F/a next year. Our D in my eyes a portion will be traded/released next year. That will make us the room we need. Sammy is getting up there in age, JT might possibly get traded for a 1st(you never know) Im not saying I want these guys gone, Im just saying that where theres a will/ need, theres a way.

Maybe with give up our 1st for Rivers and try to get it back with Ricky or a key defensive player. Ricky needs to be showcased as much as possible for tradebait.

i really hope that instead of trading madison or zach we trade 3 wrs for drew bress or rivers then the bolts would be better and so would we because here is how i would like to see it unfold.

Your going to h ave to trade your first round pick or Chambers or Taylor straight up to get Rivers.

You are right. Our number 1 might get Rivers. I say do it and then try to unload Ricky later in the season or before the draft.

Enough of the trying to get by with Fiedler, Feeley, and Gus types.

This isnt' Saban's falut, its only his first year. But he MUST go out and get a Top Flight QUARTERBACK and spend the money at any and all costs. If that means we lose Madison or Zach.......so be it.

You cant win in this league without a QB.

No way we could get Phillip Rivers and a CB for Jason Taylor. Jason Taylor isnt exactly young anymore and I dont think any team would give up a first rounder for him (which is how much Rivers is worth).
