Can we win the season opener?

Momentary lapse. However, the rest of my post remains unchanged. A better question would be, what do the Broncos have to do to win this game?
It is a tall order winning on the road here in early Sept. I also expect the vets on the team to be fired up for the opener as they try to put the bitter memories of last season behind them.
I recall in the early 90's the big, bad Buffalo Bills getting spanked in the opener by an average Dolphin team. I think it was a 31-0 shutout or 31-10.
Bruce Smith and co. had nothing left in the 4th quarter.

Ah, the memory of the Marino era... those were the days! Fast forward to the year 2003 with Ricky and the Houston Texans. What a shocker, eh? Then lets move forward to last year... The Titans... who would of thought? As you can see, our past dominance of home openers has been sacked in recent years.

And not by teams headed for greatness.

Yep, yep, yep. But perhaps the preconception of RW being on the sidelines(which he will not due to his suspension, he can't even sniff the team during that time) will be enough to shake fear into Denvers defense. ;)

I think he can practice when he is out.

Not with the team he can't. He isn't even allowed to sniff the jock straps of the players while he is out.

last year we lost games by 7 points or less except for a couple of games just because of the oline. I say it is the same now if the line dont do its job we will be in the same mess. But I think Saban will figure it out alot quicker than Wanny. Plus Saban has better coaches. We will be alot better than last year.

This is the NFL; Any team can win any game, at any time, and in any place.

I remember one year we went unbeaten in preseason at 6-0 then flopped bigtime in the regular season and ended up with a losing record. Probably 1976. So who cares if we go 0-5? We just need to make the proper decisions regarding personnel. Don't cut the next Gary Fencik or Leon Gray.

I love the Fins, but we look like sh@^ right now. Plummer may be erratic, but he is much better than what we got! Plus their O-line is 100 times better than ours! Its amazing that only one of their O-lineman is over 300 lbs and they still open huge gaps for their runners. I would be amazed (and happy with all the bragging rights here) if Miami wins that opener. I just dont see it happening.
