Can you imagine what type of treatment Martin will get on the field if he comes back?

It's unlikely Martin would be signed, but not impossible. There just isn't a large pool of talented 300 pound athletes to choose from. It also depends on where this goes from here, what Martin says when he inevitably starts talking, and so forth.

Says something that wife beaters, drug abusers and violent thugs get more chances than Jon Martin will, but that's professional sports for you.

There's many "bullies" that have thrived in football because of its violent nature on the field. I can't remember a player succeeding who felt "victimized" for back and forth banter. I have never called black friends the N word, but jokingly my friends and I will say insults back and forth at each other. I think a lot of people do it. Both players crossed lines, but I think Richie has a much better chance of playing in the NFL again than Martin does. Nobody likes a tattle tale and a snake.

Majority of players polled from other teams said they would rather play with Martin than cogs. Just sayin
Where did you read that? and its kind of flawed since Martin has only played with the Fins in his 2 year career so how the fk can they vote on this if they don't even know the fking guy...?

Ya it's 15 RI. 34 for JM and 23 said neither....so 72 guys outta the whole league. And some might have beef for Richie. Who knows though. Man espn will do a survey for anything
yeah 75 players out of 1700... That's an accurate way of doing it...

I'm not saying its accurate and they even admit its unscientific but you know as well as I that if the results were reversed they would be looked at as gospel.

Uhh this might have been addressed in posts in the past 4 pages but...

Why do you think he'll ever crack another starting line-up?

ultimately JM will move on to Harvard for his law degree... he doesn't need football, never did.

That is my predicted end game. Martin tries for a payday then goes to Harvard to be the first fourth generation black student.

He'll be back in the league and within short order he's just another player. Some fanbase will be dissecting his strengths and weaknesses on the field. Might even be this one. Threads like this are comical in how far they want to take the most recent trend. Less than a year ago we were told that Manti Teo could never handle the abuse he'd receive in the NFL.
