Can't wait for Spielman to get fired already..........

Yeah..........that QB duel last year was justeye popping talent.

And that Offensive line............:roflmao: Tell me...........why again Did Dave Wannbe quit? Must have been that crackerjack talent scout. :redeye:
Do me a favor. Tell me what would of been the better option at QB last year? Who should of we signed exactly?

And that offensive line. Im also currious how you would of upgraded the O-Line.

You obviously know what your talking about, so this shoiuld be an easy one to awnser.

Wouldn't be surprised if Rick is around for a long time. Good draft with one apparent mistake in Carey. Got a starting QB for a second round pick. Did the best he could to make up for RW's run to freedom. Turned a probable holdout into Booker and a third round pick.

Remember Wannestat overruled Rick's recommendations before 2004.

I think we can agree on one thing, at least we are moving forward and not just sitting here (CIN, CLE, ARI etc.) waiting for future to take care of itself.

Bring on 2005!

Well....since Rick has only been our GM for one year, that makles your statement look well.....(guess it has already been said!)(See Stamos comment)

So you would like to have seen him in charge for another year? No thanks........I'd like to actually win a bowl in my lifetime.........:poke:

Agreed.........but like I said, its just hard to get excited with any reminders like RS hanging around...........

I would have no problem with that actually. I think he will offer Saban excellent advice and may stick around longer.

I concur, Rick is a good player personnel guy, and he can let someone else handle the wheeling and dealing aspect of it.

RS and guilty by association apply here, but we have bigger fish to fry. Get me a DC, the waiting is killing me!

Given the state of affairs we were in this year, I think RS deserves another shot, if for nothing else, his talent scouting ability and capology...

He traded for AJ and DW didn't start the guy or even give the guy a decent chance for success...his fault ?
He made the deal for Boston, but Boston was injured...that's his fault ?
He made the deal for Booker which turned out to be a decent pickup.
He made the deal for Gordon but he was injured...See previous remark ?
Nearly all of his draft picks contributed this year.
True, I would have like to have seen more from Carey, but we knew going in that he was not the smartest guy to ever put on the pads (check his scores on the Wunderlich tests). But he did address our most needed position in the draft where in previous years that has not been the case.

Bottom line is that for every argument you can make to fire him, you can make a counter argument to keep him. He went after players that DWs style of coaching warranted. The question is will he be able to scout the talent that Saban's style of coaching warrants.

Dude, retarded is spelled with a "D"

I wish people would consult a dictionary before trying to make fun of someone else's spelling. Yeesh. :shakeno:

i think speilman is an excellent talent evaluator. with napoleon directing the strategy, i think rs would be valuable. maybe give him dans old job, make it cap and talent oriented.

exactly....y does it seem that everyone from NC is so smart?

what about all the stupid linemen he brought in!!!! and gave them 5-7 year contracts and bonuses...they were washed up....down with rick! i think we need a fresh new start and look, and he needs out!

Simple...........Kurt Warner. About the same price(2 million), Superbowl experience, Vetern leadership AND WE WOULD STILL HAVE A LOW 2 ROUND DRAFT PICK ................practically a high 1st.

O line? I never would have let Todd Wade go for starters Einstein. The main reason we couldn't upgrade the O line is becuase the best free agents didn't want to touch this organization with a 10 ft. pole and signed elsewhere. Also...........maybe that draft Pick wasted to move up one spot to grab Carrey last year might have gotten us something.............

What else do you want to know about Rick Speilman and the great job he did in Miami? Geez................I bet you even have a Flat Top haircut just like him.............:shakeno: :wall:
