Carey moved to RG

yeah this whole move has confused me. Last night i was thinking Carey takes salary cut in order to sign o hara and Davis. or at least davis. But you move Carey to right tackle that leaves no room for Ohara unless your benching Pouncey which they are not. And no room for Davis unless your starting him at Rt which theyre not because he isnt a OT, Hes OG big enough to play OT but fails every time hes asked to.

Soooo question is who are they after?

Robbing Peter to pay Paul, now we need a real RT. There's no answer at RT on this roster imo.

Garner, if healthy following his injury last season, is superior to Jerry and Colombo. Garner's got the goods to be a solid RT (which was his position when he arrived here I believe). C'mon guys, let's give Garner some love too ;)

If Colombo is named the starting RT I will have to give serious consideration to cancelling Sunday Ticket for this year. I will have lost all faith save some magical transformation in camp by Colombo to a legit NFL tackle.

I cannot think of any coach who would replace Carey with Colombo.............utterly crazy to even consider the notion.

I wonder of the 8 pages of posts, how many people actually know what they're talking about with Colombo or are they just taking what one or two people have said, and are running with it.

My brother is a huge Cowboys fan, and to my knowledge, Colombo has been a pretty solid starter for them for the last couple years, even got a couple contract extensions. He was hurt last year if I'm not mistaken and didn't play all that great, which led them to draft Tyron Smith. With Colombo making a pretty hefty salary, the rest was a no-brainer. It's not like we picked up some team's backup that we're rolling the dice on. He's also a former 1st round pick.

COLUMBO unfortunately suffered multiple knee injuries at the start of his career. He never did measure up to what was expected of him coming out of BC. But he wasn't exactly garbage, either. He started for DALLAS, and his only real "down" season was last year, when he was injured again. The question is how much does he have left, w/the injuries and age--he'll be 33 in October. DALLAS didn't want to rely on him anymore.

While I agree with you for the most part, all you need to is put on tape of the Dallas Vs. Minny playoff game from 2 years ago. Watch Ray Edwards going against Columbo and then tell me you want him for the phins RT.

He was hurt afterwards and last year he was pretty bad . . . I mean I'm not going to sit up here like I watch a ton of Dallas football . . . I watch enough to know he wasn't the same Mark Colombo I saw for Dallas a few years ago. He was a solid RT for a few years though but as injuries pile up and so does age, play declines . . . that is how it goes.

This whole colombo is gonna start thing is ridiculous. If ohara signs than the line will be LT Long, LG Pouncey, C Ohara, RG Carey, and LT Garner. If not than its Long Jerry/Incog Pouncey Carey Garner.

Anybody's 'mock Oline" that has Incrapito starting next year needs to be shipped off with Sparano after he gets fired.

yeah colombo was solid for dallas for a little while there...but the injuries have caught up and what you've got left now is a guy who doesn't have tackle feet anymore

basically a shell of his former self...not that he was ever all world or anything

and incognito i can't for the life of me understand how anyone thinks him starting on your oline anywhere is a good thing...and left guard...you gotta be kiddin me

We've been talking about moving Carey inside for years....

The thing that concerns me is John Jerry... I just can't believe this about John Jerry. I thought he was a terrific pick and would solidify the right guard position. If you think this kid was a bad pick or cant play based off his college career, you don't know how to evaluate offensive lineman...

The problem with Jerry seems to be lack of dedication and effort.... that's hard to predict. That's not a Sparano problem, or a Jeff Ireland problem... that's a John Jerry problem. If that kid would just lock down the right guard spot like he's supposed to, it would make everything a lot easier. It would allow some of these guys that are ideal depth the luxury of not having to be thrust into the starting lineup, and wouldn't have to be trotting ex-Cowboy cast-offs out there with the 1st unit constantly..

I'm extremely disappointed in John Jerry... where's your head at kid? You have as easy of an opportunity to start in the NFL as your're ever going to have right in front of you and won't take it...
