Caution: Just enjoy the win

Lets not forget the 3-0 run of our pals the Jills a couple years ago, a swarming D, a clicking on all cylinders O, and SB dreams in their eyes. And then #34 grinded those dreams into pulp on Sunday Night Football, leading to a playoff-less season.
Are you sure you aren't talking about the Pats? We were both 3-0 the year after their 1st superbowl win and we came out ahead. Of course they got us back at the end of the seaon.

i think some guys in here have the right to go to the broncos board if they want though. those guys were crawling this site soooo badly, and a bunch of them have yet to surface i've noticed.

The thing is, not all the Bronco fans on those boards came over here and trash talked. To those guys, and the ones that did return here to congratulate us, a few Dolfans invading their board and rubbing it in would make all Dolfans appear to be classless bad sports.
Besides, they all know how badly we kicked their azzes.....they don't need us to tell them.

I just have one thing to say......What the hell is kevin mawae gonna do when he faces Keith Traylor and some blitzing LB and CB? Answere: not much.

Mawae has pretty much owned Zach over the past few years. Might be a little more difficult now though, since he wont even be able to SEE Zach around the Doublewide Traylor.

.............let's not get too big headed over this great victory this afternoon. If anything it was the sure-shot indication that last year is officially OVER WITH. So please guys, refrain from jumping on other forums and talking trash, just bask in our boys letting go of a tumultruous 2004 season and proving they can still play in this league.

Exactly :yeahthat:

A little humility will go a long way for the rest of the season.

No, it was the Bills the year they opened up spanking the Pats 31-0 or something like that.

THANK you.... i normally don't like any of your posts, enig, but you hit the nail on the head here. I've been on the Orange Mane all week playing damage control for all the misconceptions they had of us and all the smack that was going on between our two forums. The point is we, as dolphin fans, are ambassadors for our teams. We don't want to sound like absolute morons to everyone on the internet. as long as we stay realistic, post good arguments, and give credit where it's due we should not have any problems...

the only problem is you always have one fan who is a moron and goes and posts something stupid to really make us all look good.

Agreed

Kinda hard not to want to join those forums and talk smack after all the Bronco trolls joining claiming it was gonna be an easy win, but I have refrained. :D

Agreed, but it's impossible not to be optimistic after that performance today. If the team can cut down on the mistakes they could be really good. Let's hope we've just witnessed the beginning of a very successful season.

Sometimes silece says so much more.

Agreed. We passed the first test. We proved we COULD score some points. We proved we COULD stop a good running attack. Now we need to prove we CAN do it every week. I'm sure that's the message the boys are getting tomorrow and throughout the week.

Clear perspective is never very far away, but still, even using the Zack performance barometer (Performances are never as good, nor as bad as they appear, er somthing like that), they still weighed out to a solid performance for their overall balance.
As Saban said, they exhibited as a team, an ability to overcome adversity.
That was somthing to see, regardless of who they were playing.

Also, the defense looked as fired up, and as fluid as they've ever looked, the new schemes appear to be quickly paying dividends.

I have a sneaking suspicion that the Dolphins and especially Gus Frerotte will come out flat against the Jets next week after the emotional high of this win. They don't quite have the character yet to where they can do this week in and week out like true professionals.

I expect Gus to have a bit of a let down but I expect Ronnie to be much cleaner running the ball and the penalties knocked down some to offset it. Really as long as the defense plays like it did today and Gus isn't a turnover machine the phins will be in each and every game.

So screw the original post...I'm enjoying this one to high heaven. Been a long time since the phins demolished another team. Enjoy it while we can!!!
