I just came here to echo how much time he's missed over his career. No thank you, we've had enough of those types.
In that case I’m surprised we haven’t already made a move!He misses a lot of games......sounds like he perfect for us.
I don't love the Newsome option.....he graded as the 177th CB per PFF, he's never played a full season, he'd cost a pick, and he's in line for a new deal.Poupart update:
Hey Alain, so Alexander is out there but injury-prone. Same can be said of Asante Samuel Jr. and by all accounts Rasul Douglas looks washed. My question is what will the Fins do to address the secondary? Trade for a CB from another team? But who is out there?
Hey OGJ, maybe the Dolphins sign Mike Hilton to handle the slot corner spot and have Kader Kohou played outside, maybe they make a trade for somebody like Greg Newsome II in Cleveland (doubtful) or maybe they just stick with what they have and count on one of more of their young players to really break
Lmao he wouldn’t change anything? This guys ego is the size of a planetI don't love the Newsome option.....he graded as the 177th CB per PFF, he's never played a full season, he'd cost a pick, and he's in line for a new deal.
Poupart hinted at the Hilton thing again today, but I'm not sure about taking Kader out of the slot. Actually, I hate the idea. He or his co-host also mentioned waiting on the results of Samuel's surgery, but I'd expect a lot of teams to be interested if he was suddenly declared healthy and not at risk of a new major injury. That's a good corner, albeit not ideal from a size or tackling standpoint.
The other tidbit they dropped was that it doesn't appear that Cam Smith is being considered for a starting position, sort of hinting that he's not practicing with the 1's and maybe not the 2's (they aren't allowed to report on that). That's disheartening, but hardly surprising. He had a really stupid response when asked about what he'd change about this first seasons in the league; "nothing".
